Maximize the potential of your spells by adding and stacking effects. Low mana curve and high damage potential.
The key card in this deck is very obviously the Kiln Fiend. While the creature sits dormant as a 1/2 from your second turn, it will spontaneously combust into a massive nuclear monster for a single turn and dish out damage in such significant amounts it will drop jaws and bring in the ah's.The primary goal of this deck is to take cheap instants and multiply their potential. As an example:COMBO POTENTIALwith a Kiln Fiend and Guttersnipe in play: You have 4 untapped mana. You could cast Might of Old Krosa during your main phase to buff Kiln Fiend by 4/4 + 3/0 via his ability for 1 mana, effectively playing into Guttersnipe's ability to dish out 2 damage. With 3 mana left, you could play violent outburst, again repeating the combo and increasing Kiln Fiend again by 3/0 and all creatures including Kiln Fiend by another 1/0, then cascading into most likely, another instant-let's say Giant Growth, for another 3/3 + 3/0 onto Kiln Fiend and another 2 from Guttersnipe. Let me break this down. This is by no means the most bang for your buck in this deck. This is just an example.DAMAGE BREAKDOWNKiln Fiend by spell played in previous scenario:1/2, 8/6, 12/6, 18/9. With only 4 mana! All the while, your Guttersnipe dealt damage with his ability 3 times dealing 6 damage and gained 1 to his attack from violent outburst.IT'S FUNThere are so many combos, I don't care to give any more examples. Every hand is a new rabbit hole to follow. One of the funnest decks I've ever made. :DOTHER ASPECTSApostle's Blessing will help protect your Kiln Fiend as well as make him more difficult to block when he swings.Monastery Swiftspear will start small but continue to grow as you play your spells.Young Pyromancer for cheap creature tokens to protect you from some of the nasties on the other side of the battlefield.Ghor-Clan Rampager won't help with any of the spell buffs your creatures will be receiving, but using his bloodrush ability on a buffed Kiln Fiend will make for a brutal way of pushing damage through.Magma Jet works great as a utility to help plan your route (especially before cascade).SIDEBOARDSideboard includes Anti-Artifact, Chain Lightning for extra damage if you aren't playing against a red deck, as well as some Hex-Proofing (shroud would cripple your Kiln Fiend).NOTESAs another note, I would love to take out some of the Mountains and Forests for more dual land, but it would also cripple your Kird Ape and Flinthoof Boar which are great for those first few turns. Please comment with suggestions, or if you try to play this, let me know how your game went. :)Thanks, MTGVault community!
