Onslaught set is probably when I became a serious player... I loved this set and yet... those damned elves. Elf decks got me so mad I needed to find some way to stop elf decks in their tracks. During that era if I saw a single elf show up against me I started to have a conniption. That's how this deck came to be. In a set that was creature heavy the Zombie deck seemed to make the most sense. I didn't actually realize how powerful it was until I played this deck a few times... against elves it is still UNDEFEATED and it pretty much dominates over any decks that are creature heavy. Its a classic and pretty much useless today but it was a beast back then and it shut down Timberwatch Elves and Heedless Ones.
Swampcycling is your best friend in this deck especially if you have Oversold Cemetery out on the field. Skulltap > Festering Goblin was a great turn two combo to draw cards and kill any x/1 creature. Gempalm Poluter was an incredible card and it was the card that got me out of many tight spots. DO NOT BE AFFRAID TO ABUSE CYCLING. It also came in handy to counter other zombie decks. Obviously Call to the Grave was a great stall card and stopped ANY non-zombie creature based deck. Noxious Ghouls were my main weapons against the darn elves... two or three of them out in play and a single zombie played could wipe the enemy field clean. Slivers were left hurting too.
