So I like theory-crafting with more recent block decks... to be honest Lorwyn kind of disappointed me and I haven't bought cards since... but seeing the new direction the game is going that may change. So this deck in it's original format is a deck built around delaying your opponents mana production capability and making him pay for it while you utilize your own lands to deal massive amounts of damage and creating some mana acceleration for your self. The sideboardis actually less of a sideboard and more of a full blown substitution. Take out 2 x Koth of the Hammer, 1 x Comet Storm, 4 x Zektar Shrine Expedition, 4 x Crusher Zendikon, and 4 x Plated Geopede and substitute in, 2 x Chandra, the Firebrand, 4 x Firebolt, 4 x Flame Javelin, 3 x Incinerate, and 2 x Fireblast and the gameplay changes giving you the ability to always surprise your friends that pretty much memorize your favorite decks.
The Koth based format relies on you getting out Zektar Shrine Expedition, and Quest for Pure Fire out ASAP... Dragonmaster Outcast is supposed to be the Obvious threat and Plated Geopede is supposed to be out there early too waiting for its moment to strike. The fun starts when you start blowing up their lands and playing tons of your own lands. Utilize Landfall to the best of your ability, attack as often as you can with Crusher Zendikon enchanted Smoldering Spires in order to hopefully bounce that land back to your hand and attack with more creatures that cant be blocked wen you play the land again. Mid-game Obsidian Fireheart should be your main strategy using Koth for some small additional mana generation. Late game your Dragonmaster Outcasts and Valakut should be dealing with what remains of your opponents life total... if that is not enough and it really should be strip what is left on Koth down and use that Comet Storm to finish them. On the Chandra substitute deck setup, you want to maximize tour damage with her -2 activated ability in concert with Quest for Pure Flame. Early to mid game focus on using Melt Terrain over Roiling Terrain as to increase Roiling Terrain's damage by copying it with Chandra's -2 and sacrificing Quest for Pure Fire. So a single spell + Chandra's -2 + sacrifice of Quest for Pure Fire results in = 4 x (lands in your opponents graveyard) damage. Copy spells appropriately and as needed.

Seems to me you need more land? I too run a very successful Koth deck and I utilize a mana heavy flow, in combo with cards that get powered up from tap a mana and it gets +1/+0 until end of turn for example, or spells that get huge from alot of land such as Spire Barrage, Jaws of Stone and or Tribal Flames.

Thanks for the suggestions... they are really good... I always liked using the Crusher Zendikon as a way to either attack each turn and kill off weenies or have the land get bounced back into my hand... the land in question would be Smoldering Spires because I would only enchant that one with Crusher Zendikon in order to use it's ability as often as possible so I can give Plated Geopede a clear path to deal damage and utilize Landfall in the same turn which also means my Zektar Shrine Expedition is not a stagnating enchantment on the field and is getting the quest counters... my card synergies I tend to like here... Your deck sounds really mean with Koth in it... once again thanks for the suggestions hope you have a good day
