This deck waits for your opponent to make an attack, and then punishes them for it. If your opponent refuses to attack, you can force them to do so with Bident of Thassa and Gideon Jura.
Once your opponent attacks, you can return all of their attacking creatures to their hand with AEtherize, or you can have your opponent sacrifice one or more of those creatures with Wing Shards. If you have Lightmine Field in play when you force your opponent to attack, they will most likely all be killed. If you have Isperia in play, you can replenish your hand. Even if you don't have any combat tricks at the ready, there are sufficient walls in the deck to protect you, and you can wipe their board with Sunblast Angel, or take out a particular threat with Gideon's second ability. After you have whittled down your opponent's field, you can make your counterattacks with Sunblast Angel, Isperia, or even Gideon himself. Alternatively, you can sneak Daxos of Meletis and Augury Adept past your opponent's tapped creatures to provide yourself with additional options. The man-land Celestial Colonnade offers extra offensive power for when this time comes. This deck also has eight total counters, helping to gain and maintain control.
