Charge Counters

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

This is really just a silly deck I designed while I was flicking through random cards on Gatherer. I found Lux Cannon, and thought "damn, that card really deserves to have a deck built around it". So I built one.

Note that the sideboard is ridiculously glitchy. I don't actually run 5 chalice of the void sideboard :/

How to Play

The deck is really heavily centered around what I can do with charge counters. It's really light on creatures, so I guess it's a control deck of sorts...

Stuff this deck likes to do:

t1 surge node
t2 power conduit
t3 coretapper
t4 lux cannon, start making that thing terrifying
I can one-shot a permanent on that turn by feeding coretapper to it, but I prefer to instead put 3 counters on it with various abilities.
Bonus points for t5 unwinding clock, turning lux cannon into lux machine gun of you didn't need permanents did you?

t1 surge node
t2 coretapper
t3 chalice for 1, put counters on it from surge node and coretapper
t4 power conduit, power conduit (basically I can counter any spell with cmc 1 to 5)

t2 coretapper
t3 lightning coils, give it a counter
t4 coretapper
end of your t4, tap both coretappers, feed them both to lightning coils
t5 remove 8 charge counters, smack you for 24

or just make a darksteel reactor/chimeric mass/titan forge REALLY big

Hey, I never said it was a GOOD deck did I?

Deck discussion for Charge Counters

Yea, I can dig this... I'd play a deck with four Aether Snap / Vampire Hexmage. Just to mess with it. lol

this looks fun maybe add some affinity? the affinity card draw spell or counterspell? or some cheap affinity creatures like myr enforcer or frogmite. mycosynth golem would be quite nasty

Mycosynth Golem sounds strong. Maybe Thoughtcast? That Draw 2 cards with affinity for artifacts? Could help to keep the artifacts flowing.

you can drop 1 power conduit and 1 stalking stones for the 2 mycosynth golems id drop the other 3 stalking stones for the darksteel citadel with that ensoul artifact just might make this deck a real winner

I need the playset of power conduit... I might do something like this:

-1 Chalice of the Void
-4 Stalking Stones

+1 Mycosynth Golem
+3 Darksteel Citadel
+1 Ensoul Artifact

Although I can't fit in thoughtcast that way. And U: draw 2 cards sounds quite nice...

Yeah, it's rather glitchy. I keep adding cards to sideboard by accident, and I don't even know what is going on :<

Should be fixed now though.

If you add Voltaic Key and Throne of Geth, you can proliferate until you reach 20 counters on Reactor.
Voltaic Key works well with Lux Cannon, too.
