About me: I have 29 "casual" decks together. I play primarily with my wife and a few friends, who are all not collectors, so we just play with my decks. That removes the pressure of having to compete with other people for building the "best deck", but I try to maintain an even power-level when building new decks. I am constantly trying out new deck ideas, building them and tearing them back apart if they do not function well. None of my decks have sidedecks (except for a few "Wish" decks)
The majority of the birds in this deck cost 2 and allow you to manipulate your draws. Soulcatchers' Aeire is what makes this deck work.

If you are going the sejiri land route, you could always add in a few Kabira Crossroads in place of a few plains.

I may do so once I test it out. I have another White Blue deck together that utilizes 4 Sejiri's + 4 Glacials + 4 Kabira's + a few Halimar Depths... and it works pretty well. Another thing that could be funny if I can find it... I think I have a buried "Day of Dragons" somewhere in my collection that would be a silly endgame drop for this deck. Although, once the "Aerie" does its thing, there should be no need to shrink the well-feathered birds down into small dragons.?.?!? One thought I had looking at the deck just now is that it may have trouble against some of my faster decks (Black Red discard, Red Goblins, Red All-in, Black Vampire Nocturnis stompy, to name a few)... The Rest for the Weary is a step in the right direction, but this deck does have 31 CMC 2 drops... I could turn a few of those into 1's and 3's to round out the curve a bit better.
