Madcap skills is possibly the best card in Gatecrash.
More dual color, and shock lands.
Perhaps a Thraben Doomsayer or 2?
Druids Deliverance? Prevent some damage, and get a little squirrel to boot.
A couple Grave Betrayals would work wonders in this deck.
Utvara Hellkite? Slumbering Dragon? May help with the curve.

Curiosity only cares about any damage said creature deals to a player. Firemind deals damage everytime you draw a card. As long as you continue to target the player, and the opponent cant interrupt the combo with an instant, the combo loops. Tap Firemind to draw a card with Curiosity enchanting him, he deals a point of damage, you draw a card, deal a point, draw a card, etc. Thats the other drawback, but between the snipes, chargers, and specialists, by the time it goes off you shouldnt have to worry about library depletion.
Neat combo is to enchant a Blistercoil with Dual Casting, Tap the weird to copy a spell, it gets +1/+1, untaps and you get a new instant or sorcery.

With a little mana shifting, some creature subs and a couple Vorel of the Hull Clade it might go farther. 3 cloudfin raptor for sluiceway scorpion. deathrite shaman or two. turn 1 raptor, turn two slitherhead evolve raptor, scavenge slitherhead, turn three vorel, Have Fun
Its a bit slow for an Izzet deck. Kind of how my first Izzet deck looked.

Its an old deck i run in Kitchen Magic. Ive since tuned it numerous times since. The bracers double activated abilities, if i were to equip Illusionists bracers to the nivmagus elemental and exile an instant or sorcery it would place double the +1/+1 counters.
