Deck Description

Pretty generic sliver deck with the exception of only forests included because of the high green ratio in the deck, coupled with the leafcallers being in there. There are 16 sources of any colour mana(leafcallers, ziggurats, birds, gemhides) so the lack of a multiland setup is not damaging.

I have also included Animar, as he is an excellent catalyst for getting slivers out onto the battlefield cheaply and efficiently. Was thinking of including some Null Profusions to speed it up more.

Deck discussion for Slivers with Animar

Nice deck. I like the addition of Animar. I would suggest that you expand your mana base a little bit. In a deck that uses all 5 colors it's crucial to have the colors you need at any given time. Ancient Ziggurat is a good start. But there are a lot more you can use. Here is my Sliver deck if you'd like to take a look at it.

Hey txwalker13,

The reason I only have forests in the deck is because there is a very high ratio of green mana needed for the deck. With the leafcallers, forests give mana of any colour, the gemhides obviously do similar, and with the addition of the birds, and ziggurats, there's 16 cards that let me get out all the single colour, non-green cards. 8 of those letting me play the 5 colour legends. Probability says that I will have at least one of them 16 cards in my opening hand, and within turn 2 I should have a leafcaller or gemhide in my hand. I'll just have to do some testing with the deck and see how it holds up.
