Deck Description

I just made this deck and decided to use the "Draw a sample hand" feature to find out if it actually has merit. Seems pretty decent if you're not mana bound/screwed from the beginning.

Deck discussion for Standard Vampires

I think you should definitely take out the Bloodthrones. I would replace them with Mirri the Cursed if you want.

Also, i'm not a fan of the land gain in a vampire deck. If you want it keep it, but I would suggest putting in creature destruction like doomblade and replace green with blue to make it control.

Well Mirri the Cursed isn't standard and I was actually thinking about using this for FNM. The point of the Bloodthrones was to arbitrarily sacrifice creatures so that my opponents would have to, too, if I had Butcher out. And they're another low cost vampire to tap for Captivating. And they can get big with those eldrazi spawn tokens.

As for creature destruction, I don't really wanna go that route since I do have like ten cards that say my opponent has to sacrifice a ton of creatures. And Kalitas is like, "Oh, I'm gonna Doomblade your creature AND get a token that's as strong as it was." And those big guys are the reason I have land aggro. I'd like to be able to get Kalitas/Drana/Butcher out in like four or five turns rather than seven or eight.
