besides a hexproof mystcutter, deathrite shamans and anything small and quick
maybe a thassa or 2 for sideboard and scrying unexpected results and ohmspeaker for extra dig and protection ( and maybe something for the occasional mistcutter hydra like cyclonic rift or something else ) i also like the nyela bow in this gives you some life back restocks graveyard for a long game nd kills annoying small flyers
i did forget about overmaster it s a great sideboard card
cards that might surprise you vs a red deck: Book Burning, Burning Inquiry, Burning Wish, Hammer of Bogardan, Molten Disaster, Overmaster, Recoup, Stronghold Gambit, The Ultimate Nightmare of Wizards of the Coast, Wake of Destruction, Winds of Change, red elemental blast, siroco. and there are other fun cards for red that will make ya say wtfovermaster is probly your biggest threat if facing a true oldschool red player though
there is a very easy way to break burn decks depending on the play style Leyline of Sanctity. justice, redirect and anything like that will stop this deck of shear burn and torment also my i consider for this deck sizzle all opponents take 3 damage doesnt target and worldfire ( won me the games against a turn 1 leyline of sanctity twice )
if they somehow prevent you from burning them to death sideboard Heartless Hidetsugu in its a instant kill with furnace of rath ( kills everyone but it shall serve its purpose )
looks like you want modern zoo with a twist any anthem cards you can get would be nice also wheel of sun and moon for anti mill and it ursurps your rest in peace so it can save your cards from exile in-case you go up against esper control mill
what about arbor dryads?
i want more minotaurs and gorgons for tribal decks
you cant if you dnt control the auras in the first place its says you control so you cant pick off other players enchantment attachments
i still wanted it legal to play in modern so no locust lands and no artifact lands
you might need more lands and there's better 1drop card draw than aura finesse since you dont have any auras in the deckhave fun stay safe
new pyroclasm with the ability to give -1 like the newt from m14 yes the new pyroclasm is a god killer so if you go red black control with lets say minotaurs its a god killer and you can save all your creatures ( minotaur lord baby)
theres a new pyroclasm in theros always something to consider if you want to go creature light ( 1rr cmc deal 3 damage to each creature if the creature dies exile it instead a red god killer if need be) if you change up the decklist after theros cards are released on here ill add more input
since alot of cheap green mana ramp is gone and all the innistrad and m13 dual lands are gone burning earth is gonna be nerfed in theros block ( doubt any1 will go heavy on the scry lands but never know, shocklands, guildgates, and scrylands might be a thing all in 1 deck). 2headed cerberus with volcanic strength will be fun in a mirror match with the new mountain only stone rain. and then there is the red god u can throw in here to pump up your creatures. I say keep it mono red before trying to change it into something else. have fun gl on the deck and in this block
my question is do you want to keep it pure red or mix cause alot of cards are rotating out( switch pillar for shock to start )
u may want a sac engine to have immortal servitude gain more value in the deck but ef it i agree go hard or go home
i understand u got a soft spot for the curse i was just thinking more removal so whats gonna happen to this deck after september and theros comes out?
instead o the curse in sideboard how about batter in blood
