This deck relies on mana-boosting to quickly cover the need for large amounts of mana, and subsequently trample on your opponent with large creatures such as Baloths and Wurms. Strategic creatures such as Cudgel Troll, Wolfir Avenger and Ambush Viper can provide with unexpectedly sudden or persistent defence - and in the case of Wolfir Avenger, both.
"Wrath of the Wilds" has a large amount of mana-boosting ability: Cultivate, Skyshroud Claim, and Llanowar Elves. These can help you boost your mana early in the game in order to afford your medium- and late-game creatures such as your wurms. An alternative is the use of Elvish Pipers, which can let you play a creature card for just one green mana any time you could play an instant and tap the Piper. A third alternative is the use of Call of the Wild, which however tends to discard potentially useful non-creature cards such as Revive and Giant Growth.Through the use of massive creatures and the strategic use of Giant Growth, Naturalise and Natural End, this deck aims to put a quick end to opponent decks. Creatures such as Giant Spiders and Geist Trappers can help you deal with flying creatures, as can sidedeck instants like Crash Landing.
