I know what you mean, it can be slow sometimes for me. Thanks for commenting!

I always wanted to do something with Slivers, so much untapped power. Why guildgates? If there's a budget then I understand.

Rancor is a necessity.

Have you considered Thallid or Sporesower Thallid? Best I got off the top of my head.

When I read "Deathtouch" I immediately remembered Basilisk Collar. Turns everyone in to Nighthawk, save for the flying. Not sure if its budget worthy.

Oh right I didn't even think about artifacts at all. I'll try it out thanks!

Right, Hero is a bad choice since this is 95% tribal, but I needed a way apply damage to the face if my creatures have trouble on the ground. Spiteful Returned works well in that regard. I was considering the Ooze too. Thanks!

Do you think this deck needs Mulch or Commune with the Gods? Or some kind of way to draw more?

Ok I get what you're saying.

I agree that the Blood Moon and the Magus are situational and they can slow the deck down a bit. I guess main decking them are a good choice after game 1 against ramp or accel decks.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the tips. Added 1 Magma Jet for the 1 Char and 2 Browbeats for the 2 Pulses. I was at a crossroads with these two cards. I wasn't sure if Magma Jet was too expensive for 2 damage but given it does Scry makes up for it.

Browbeat is a cool card but in a close (and rather dramatic) situation like 1 life point each, he could just make me draw rather than taking 5. I did add it in though for the card drawing aspect, which speeds the deck up a whole lot. I'll be play testing this.

What do you think about Magus of the Moon for Grim Lavamancer?

Thank you

Nice choice for a win outlet.

There's a nice amount of B in the deck, so this isn't a bad idea. Been seeing a lot of Merchants in tourney's too.

If you don't mind going Vintage, adding phyrexian dreadnought would be a sick combo in the yard for Varolz.

At first I didn't either.

Basically, tapping a B or G along with twilight mire can filter it in to any sequence of golgari colors (BB, GB, GG). It's easier for players to cast double B spells like Bloodghast or even double G like Strangleroot Geist.

Nice idea with Fauna Shaman. I'll also look into a sac outlet and consider some zombies.

What do you think of Underworld Connections for Dark Prophecy? It's easier to cast (1BB) and you can control when to lose life for a draw.

True, Vengevines reoccurred a lot more when I had more 1 drops. I've only started play testing it now that I've made some changes but generally the Crawlers are the easiest way to get Vengevine for free. Either one from my hand and the next from the yard because of his twin now on the field haha. The best course of action is if it's tossed to the troll and dug back up, (or both tossed to Zombie Infestation for a free Zombie) but there's Mutavault as well for 1 cmc and he's every creature.

I'm open to any ideas that can better the deck as a whole if Vengevine needs to be swapped.

I ran a Golgari type deck and considered Varolz when I heard about him, then I read his abilities and realized he wasn't really for my deck.

Disruption cards could be added to your SD just in case of control deck match-ups. Couple thoughtseize or a good'ol duress.
