Saw this deck:http://www.mtgvault.com/mcholypotato/decks/woodwork/And decided that I would make my own cheaper variant.Tribal decks have always been my favorite and it is always fun to make them. This deck is still a bit too out of range of my budget but I found that it really wont work without throwing a bit of cash at it. Suggestions are always welcome. Just remember the budget! =D

i am not sure of the price of leafcrown elder, but i think you should look at adding it in. i am also unsure how much doran costs, but he makes treefolk a decent tribe into a powerful tribe, and if you use leafcrown elder, you will not even need to splash really, especially with how useful harbinger is. i also think you should lose verdeloth. it just is not good in my opinion.

Both the elder and Doran cost 2 bucks a pop. They are nice cards though. I would love to have them but this is pushing the high end of my budget as is. I agree with you on Verdeloth being not the best but he is cheap, which is a huge draw. He and the Battlewand Oak are the first on the chopping block when/if I find cards to switch them out for.
well that sucks. :| maybe you could swap out dourbark and maybe even timber protector and/or dungrove elder for those alternatives. it would essentially be a trade between speed and power, though with doran i would argue you would get both to an extent. it is a hard decision so i wish you good luck, and happy stomping. :)
Nice job. Gotta love the trefolk! Here's my version:http://mtgvault.com/saltysack/decks/treefolk/
