Deck Description

I feel like I have been making a whole lot of Red/Green decks as of late. Most defender decks you find will run either white or blue as they are the more classic of the defenders. R/G defender was a bit of a stretch from a building perspective.

There are benefits and drawbacks to running red as the second color. On the upside, you get a very straightforward win condition in burn. But on the other hand, you have no real effective protection from direct damage or any lifegain to speak of. Red also doesn't have much in the way of defenders, where the others have a plethora of choices. Both white and blue will keep you alive, but running red forsakes that in favor of a faster win. I think Tree of Redemption should be enough to keep my life up but I can foresee issues with weenie decks, burn and counter.

Budget didn't hurt too much on this one and I feel I got it pretty solid as of posting. That being said, suggestions are always welcome. And not that I am hinting or anything, but if someone wanted to gift me a set of 4 "Bonfire of the Damned". I think it would work very well in this deck. =)

Deck discussion for Defender [Budget: $10]

There are some very nice red defenders. One of my favourites is AEtherflame Wall :)
Warmonger's Chariot also makes for an interesting option in red defender decks as there's quite a few that have a decent sized power.
