Deck Description

This is a deck I have been pondering on for a while.

The combo focuses around Lost Legacy and Fateful Showdown which if played right could literally be a game finisher (or close to it). The only problem was you need more than 4 copies of a card to pull this off, hence why Shadowborn Apostle. (could have gone for rats but wanted to be original)

The idea is to spam as much as possible the Apostles on the field and then getting the demons into play. Then use Gravepurge to be able to re-draw them at leisure before hitting them with the combo.

I think it is a pretty solid deck, what do you guys think?
Any cards I should add/omit?

Can I please explain the combo? I don't see the use of Lost Legacy..

The idea is to play the Apostles at first and spam the big creatures. Then Gravepurge to put them back on top of your library and redraw. Once you have a hand size of around 15 cards just use Legacy followed by Showdown or just Showdown depending on your mana availability.

The idea is with Legacy you target yourself by choosing Apostle thereby removing a large chunk of your deck. If you have enough in your hand you can re-draw it as per Legacy rules. Showdown is just a combo finisher as it depends on your hand size, which with the help of the Spire should be fairly large.

Lost Legacy only draws you cards for each card you lost from your hand. It won't help Fateful Showdown at all.. Gravepurge will make you wait ages to draw some cards that you don't even want.
Sorry, it is an interesting idea but think about what you're doing and how inefficient it is: there is no real combo.

Hence why I also added Shattered perception to speed up the process after Gravepurge. I know it is a long shot idea, but that was the only concept where I thought Lost Legacy would fit.

Very interesting. these are the types of deck ideas I like to see. The abnormal, the otherwise unthought-of. As to cards, what is your main way of dealing with opponents problem creatures? Im not sure how quickly you are able to pull of your combo... seems kinda mid rangey to me. And I imagine its not super easy to get six apostles on the field simultaneously if your idea is to cheat demons in with them. Nice idea tho. I would like to see how it does. Is this intended for modern play or casual?

That's where I am stumped, and hence why I posted the deck for constructive criticism. I was thinking of removing Altar's Reap and Grave Strength for defensive spells like Dash Hopes and Terminate.

Well if its intended for modern, fatal push is proving to be a magnificent card as it can just about handle most creatures you'd find in the meta. How ever, dash hopes just seems comical, as its definitely not something expected coming from black, but giving the player the option can be detrimental to you if you really need to counter a spell or just have them lose five life. Terminate tho is a great card
