Main Deck (65 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck discussion for my 3 color i need help

In my opinion drop these cards:

Blood Tyrant; great card to have in a reanimator deck and with more than 2 players. other wise it will just slow the deck down.

Oona's Gatewarden; its not in a fay deck, it can only block then it will die. no point.

Seething Song; great card when you can team it up with other songs to really lay down a huge X cost spell. you don't have any X casting spells. this makes 5 R mana, can you always use 5 R mana in a Tri-color deck? if not then drop it.

Elder Mastery; 6 mana! i'm sure you could find many more creatures to play for that cost. or other spells like banefire, you could do 5 points of damage for that much mana...

Wistful Thinking; unless you are casting this on your friend when hes tapped out just to make him empty his hand ( and even that is pretty weak) its +'s are out weighed by discarding 4 cards.

This will take you down to 60 cards.

The only combo i see in your deck is the Redcap and Liege. when the redcap comes back into play (with a -1) if its during your turn you can say when each ability triggers; the Liege will give him two +1 counters, then the -1 and one of the +1 counters cancel each other out and you are left with a 3/3 Persist with no counters on it that then does 3 damage. you just need a way to sac him. i'm thinking Fodder Launch. (then maybe Boggart Birth Rite to get the Luanch or the Redcap back if something happened). but all this is pending on finding the single Liege.

Another question i want to ask is, do you have to play Blue? try and put a B/R deck together. I think it would work smoother than this tri-color.

again, just my thoughts.

Your above combo actually doesn't work. The liege doesn't give +1/+1 counters so the -1/-1 counter doesn't come off. The redcap will be a 3/3 but it will still have a -1/-1 so it won't persist again.

This deck is still in beginning stages of development. Try it out over and over and over again in playtesting, figure out what cards you are begging for and which ones you find to be pretty useless, then Put in more copies of the cards you find yourself needing and take out those you don't.

Try to keep your deck at 60 cards, I usually say 65 is absolute max but if you have very few copies of each card the deck needs to be 60.

Try to come up with an overall theme for the deck, something it does regularly as a win condition. Is it fast? is it control? does it protect? does it mill? and adjust your deck accordingly to bring out the specific deck type you want.Try to only pick 1 type, 2 max, or else you will have too many cards that do too many different things and it won't be cohesive.

Right now Grixis has the 3 colors you are trying to work with so I suggest looking at Grixis decks online with high ratings or good comments and learn from them how to adjust your deck.

Good luck.

side note: you will be begging for more terminates so put in 3 more.

OH, 1 last thing. Land base is incredibly important in a 3 color deck. Right now you are running 7 of each with 1 necropolis. Ditch the necropolis and use dual lands to help out. There are 3 color lands in shards that are very useful. Pain lands help out a lot and if you have some money, reflecting pool is amazing. Try to keep this deck standard legal since most of your cards are so don't resort to lands outside of that (like old school dual lands, shock lands, etc)

Ok, this is the last thing, I promise.

In order to beat your friend's cards, depending on what they are you may want to add in counterspell abilities (not the card because it is out of standard) It's a control mechanic (similar to terminate) that will get rid of all your friend's best cards. To beat your friend I suggest you go aggro control, this way you will be hitting your friend directly since you are getting all of his creatures and spells off the board. Sound good? Look up some good aggro/control decks online. Have fun!
