Maralen of the Mornsong commands an exponential army of rats, ready to gnaw away your flesh.
Very simple deck.survive till 4 lands on field and at least one in handTurn A: Drop out commander Maralen.Turn B: Pull and Drop Thrumming StoneTurn C: Play Relentless RatsTurn D: ProfitRelentless Rats' signature effect carries over even in the Commander style card limit (see below. EDH guarantees instant access to your commander, Maralen, who, in turn, ensures you have thrumming stone, if you weren't lucky enough to draw it on your own.Everything else that's not a rat or a swamp is capable of reviving a shattered thrumming stone, and can also be pulled with Maralen (who, as a commander, can be recycled if killed). if all fails, at least you can atleast play a rat or two per turn, and we know how fun that can be.MTG comprehensive rules112.6m An ability that modifies the rules for deck construction functions before the game begins. Such an ability modifies not just the Comprehensive Rules, but also the _Magic: The Gathering_ Tournament Rules and any other documents that set the deck construction rules for a specific Constructed format. However, such an ability can't affect the format legality of a card, including whether it's banned or restricted. The current _Magic: The Gathering_ Tournament Rules can be found at <www.wizards.com/wpn/Events/Rules.aspx>.

Have you considered Immortal Servitude?

could not be played, mono black commander means no split mana if i'm not mistaken. But i don't think it would be worth it if it could, I'm more interested in keeping that artifact in play. I can crap more rats out if i need with it, without adding another card to the count.
You're exactly right. My mistake. I can't think of any artifact-rez other than... Buried Ruin, and you've got that covered.
I love this deck man !!! I have never played EDH properly but am considering making this deck.I have made a version myself and consider playing Patriach's Bidding rather than immortal servitude (which you obviously aren't allowed to play because of Maralen).
