Deck Description

Progress...
Through Nature...
Through Science...
Through Technology...
Evolution is ours to wield.

Vorel of the Hull Clade commands the greatest armies of scientific conquest into battle.
The modern ideals of Zegana tweek evolution to its will
The classic visions of Momir Vig have returned to sculpt new creations
The biomechanical trancendance of New Phyrexia has been tamed to accomplish what flesh alone can not.

How to Play

This deck contains all the Graft and all the Evolve cards that simic has to offer, and boasts the entirety of Blue and Green well as the better portion of Colorless Proliferate.

Many of the old Graft creatures are strong enough to trigger the Evolve mechanic of the newer Combine.
Additionally, Existing Graft creatures can add an innitial buff to creatures that enter play, and not only the Evolve creatures, but the Phyrexians aswell.

The +1/+1 counters already on the Grafters and those that accumulate on the Evolvers are prime target for the grately cheap Vorel of the Hull Clade. Not only that, but picture your entire field Proliferating to high hell!

Proliferate and Vorel buffed Grafters can supply not only massive creatures, but a steady flow of counters to incoming creatures. Droping many on a brand new Master Biomancer (or even one and Proliferating it) can provide an even more massive and steady buff to each future creature. Droping these buffs onto Zegana or fathom mage can lead to some much needed draw power. Buffing a Gyre Sage can give a massive boost to mana (especially for use with Hydras).

Vorel and Proliferate can also give an indirect source of mana, Everflowing Chalice and Astral Cornucopia (as well as the aforementioned Gyre Sage) are also prime targets for this reason. Alongside Contagion Clasp and Contagion engine, they are a great ways to recoup the massive cost of Proliferating with these artifacts.

Nimbus Swimmer and the Hydra's form a unique oppertunity to talor their strength to your Evolve creatures. put as little or as much mana into them as fitts the situation. Broodmaster especcially can be almost broken considering how many times you can potentially trigger Evolve in one go.

Like the Hydra Broodmaster, Kiora can be a great source of Evolve triggers (and a 9/9 a turn doesn't hurt). Though they are sadly out of the reach of Vorel, Planeswalkers can be be quite powerfull with Proliferate.

Solidarity of Heroes and Doubling Season have two of the most powerfull proliferating effects in the game (the latter also sinergizing greatly with Hydra Broodmaster and Kiora). Doubling Season has the additional bonus of doubling, not just Evolve, but Proliferate and Vorel's effects too!

Zegana, Fathom Mage, Tezzeret's Gambit, and Steady progress Momir Vig, Chord of Calling, Green Sun's Zenith, and Unexpected Results provide decent draw and search power.

A host of Grafters, Bread for the Hunt, Hindervines, and Renegade Krasis give support effects to +1/+1 counter creatures (the last most being a Phalanx Leader before Phalanx Leader)

And why not Infect, if you have the chance, just dont make it a priority. It can be a great back up to destroy a pesky opponent. After all, Viral Drake is in there... don't risk losing his proliferate, but if you have an open shot take it!

Deck discussion for Simic Biomastery (EDH)

Board wipes are going to devastate you in this deck unless you get some form of counter spells in here my advice is throw at least a glen elandra archmage in here otherwise you will simply die a horrible firey death against white or blue decks everywhere
