Deck discussion for Gobbo-Arti-Quest

This is awesome. Love a pure aggro burn deck. This checks all the boxes for me. It's a high risk, high reward as you race your opponent's deck. :)

Thanks! I am also very excited about this deck. It's like a dangerous bomb, that might blow up extensively... or fizzle in your face xD

Those are the very best red decks in my opinion! :)

I took a quick look at some of your decks, loved "From The Depths"! I know from experience that playing these decks usually isn't fun for a long time, but making something like this must have been a joy! xD What are some of your own favorite decks?

White Weenie and Wild Mongrel Flashback are my most favorite ones to play. White Weenie requires maximum aggression, trade at all costs, to not get outpaced and it's a lot of fun and atypical of most mono-white decks I've run across. Wild Mongrel is a fun card that leverages the Flashback ability. Both of these decks were budget staples in the Odyssey block back in the day. :)

Hmm yeah interesting, I get that! I'm sorta done with making new 'funky' decks (well... never really). Instead I want to make more decks that are just fun and interesting to play, which actually means I tend to lean more into tempo decks. They force you to play aggressive, but also keep an interactive eye out towards your opponent. I like that in playing magic. For instance, making this Gobbo-Bomb deck is a lot of fun for me and playing it a few times is off course the reward. But it's not interactive enough for me. Your Wild Mongrel deck seems like a lot of fun to play!

If it helps, all of my decks (and those under construction) are all meant to be part of a pool of decks to play against each other. So far I've got about 55 set to be completed once it's all said and done. Trying to pick out interesting mechanics, themes, strategies or deck concepts from different points in history and tweaking them heavily until they're fun to play. Key concept for me is no infinite turns or infinite-lock effects. Every deck has a touch of removal if needed, even if only a card or two. Otherwise, they focus on their own shtick.

These get pulled out a couple times a month, sometimes just 1v1 and we get a handful of games in, or I get up to 8 people together and we play a simple bracket. Fun stuff. :)

Find what you think is cool and dig into it. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. :D
