Deck Description

if you want to add in the infinite combo, then substitute fogs and a mana leak for the xenografts. when you cast xenograft, choose Ally as the crature type. the way to trigger the combo is either playing a turntimber while xenograft is out or having an ally enter the battlefield while xenograft and turntimber is out and then turntimbers ability triggers, a wolf enters the battlefield and because of xenograft, the wolf is an ally and turntimbers ability triggers again thus creating infinite wolves. if you are like me however and don't like infinite combos, then playing without the sideboard works extremely well too.

Deck discussion for Bant Ally Deck

this is a cool deck, yet i don't understand how you could make an ally deck so expensive...

all you need is some gates and you're set

No gates slow your whole game down in a deck like this where it is so easy to regain life you require shocks to up your speed

that may be, but gates arent $15.

And we don't buy our cards online we trade and take our chances with packs this deck is real it is constructed and it would fall easily by turn 3 or 4

but with gates, you just use amulet of vigor and, then you get a better, cheaper alternative to dual lands

do you not think that you could possibly spend your money on something better than a piece of cardboard that's worth $15 dollars?

The decks is good as it is. If you don't want to spend money on the dual lands, then don't do it, but don't say they aren't good just because they are expensive.

they are good, but it's still not worth spending $15 on a single card.

Then don't spend money you don't have, and stay cheap. If people want to play a good deck, they'll spend the money. If they want a shit deck like you seem to want, then they'll buy shit useless land

Hey. Don't talk about gates like that. They are not shit, they are not useless, they are a budget alternative to people who see it smart to spend small amounts on cards, and more on important things.

Meh. I think that it depends on how high a value you place on playing a trading card game. If you feel that you shouldn't spend a ton of money (for any reason) on cards, then don't. And guildgates are just fine for a budget deck. To be truly competitive you should go with shock lands (or something similar) but if you feel they are too much... There is nothing wrong with that. :)

Don't bad mouth a deck just because you're too dumb or poor for it. If you really can't afford it, print them off. That's what my friends and I do. Sure, they're not the real thing, but then you don't have to have a shit deck that uses shit land

one of my favorite cards. once you get that card out you basically can get whatever you want because of the card draw. i have only lost once or twice once i got that card out.

After trying out some sample hands, I'm seeing that there aren't enough lands. I recommend taking out the two Ajani and replacing them with land, I suggest one more Fountain and one more Fortress. I don't see any kind of synergy between Ajani and the allies. Everything else about this deck is great, good call on the Venser!

drawing a sample hand and playing the deck for real are two totally different things ive played this deck and the only thing ill agree with is it needs more lands

but i do agree, i have some mana problems to deal with. i will take out ajani goldmane and something else but caller of the prides second ability works great with vensers second ability and a huge ally.

I love allies. I don't see why the psychic barriers aren't mana leaks though. Mana leak is less color intensive, less conditional, and the life loss on barrier is fairly insignificant.

It isn't a sure counter, though it is an excellent soft counter.

Also, (at the deck builder.) I don't see how adding xenograft will make an infinite combo. The effect is triggered when an ally enters the battlefield, but the wolves aren't entering as allies. They become an ally after entering.
