No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

An illusion is a distortion of the senses, revealing how the brain normally organizes and interprets sensory stimulation. While illusions distort reality, they are generally shared by most people.[1] Illusions may occur with more of the human senses than vision, but visual illusions, optical illusions, are the most well known and understood

Deck discussion for Illusions are ghosts who appear in dreams

I don't know where to start my friend. You said this deck has more "potential" than mine, but in all honesty it looks quite ineffective to say the least. Here are the issues I found:

1 - You have a deck consisting of 68 cards and no sideboard. You seriously need to trim it down to 60 cards and add what you've taken out into the sideboard. People think that the more cards you have the better your deck will be. This ISN'T true.

2 - Half of the cards you have included in this deck are from 'Zendikar' block, and 'M11' (cards which aren't being reprinted), which means that they will cycle out of standard when 'Innistrad' comes out. So basically in a month or two the deck will be illegal in standard.

3 - The card 'Redirect' is completely useless in an Illusion deck, simply because it only changes targets; it doesn't counter what has already happened. This means that the Illusion monster has still been targeted, despite you changing the target. e.g. "I use 'Lightning Bolt' on your Phantasmal Bear. You then play the card 'Redirect' and target one of my own creatures. My creatures does die from the 'Lightning Bolt' damage, however your bear was targeted first and therefore dies too"

4 - You have far too many creatures and not enough land (obviously this would be sorted by milling the deck down to 60 cards). Take this setup - 22 Creatures, 20 Lands, 18 Spells/Equipments/Instants etc. Through my own experience this is the most effective setup for any mono-colour deck. You don't need anymore than 20 lands (22 maximum).

5 - There is too much variation between cards in the deck. This isn't the most effective method to take.

6 - Think about adding cards which buff up your creatures without actually targeting them. You will find that Illusion creatures only die if a spell/ability targets them directly. Cards such as 'Levitation' which state "Creatures you control have flying" don't actually target any one creature specifically, and therefore provide your creatures with flying without destroying them.

I hope you take this into consideration. Really good effort though :)

I think I get the idea and also think redirect is useless, maybe you can start thinking about do something else to improve your deck like fewer creatures and make them stronger, anyway, nice Idea
