Deck Description

Pauper Zombies, lots of synergy and value Cemetery Recruitment and Ghoulcaller's Chant are very good at bringing zombies back and adding value. Festering Mummy, Black Cat, Sultai Emissary and Butcher Ghoul are around to power Carrion Feeder and in general be bad trades.

Wight of Precinct Six is a top tier beater vs other creature decks, and Gurmag Angler will do in a pinch if the Wight's aren't coming online. Diregraf Hord helps stand up to wide boards.

How to Play

Pretty safe to keep a 2 land hand, I've won with a single land initial hand. The low cost and high value of most of the deck really makes it hard to stay off the back foot. Just keep sending more zombies.

Deck discussion for Double-Tap

Hmm, seems like a more budget but worse version of both suicide black and GB aristocrats. I try to avoid decks that opt for a compromise, this I could see working however. BUT, but why play Tattered Mummy?

Cause it does something when it dies, and the whole premise is suiciding your guys and bringing them back to do it again.

TBH this is a format I have VERY little exposure to but have always liked the idea of.

True, but it is not relevant to the board state, where as something like Butcher Ghoul is, in a sacrifice synergistic, board centric creature deck I think we both know which is better.
The issue then becomes whether there is another card like butcher ghoul, and Sultai Emissary springs to mind.

I see your point, that's a solid pick.

After drawing a few hands, I really like how this flows now. Creatures non-stop and a very stable boardstate that can keep going.

See, now what you have 8 creatures that get BIG and 8 creatures that don't die. That is hard to stop, that is consistency.

Plus 8 ways to bring them back (12 total returning), and 8 ways to draw (12 total draws), and 8 decent removal.

I've made some edits (some newer cards available since I built this, like Cast Down is just better than Bone Splinters). I gave up on the Alters Reap not great in my meta and if it was I'd get Deadly Dispute Instead, what I find I need though is a beater that doesn't rely on creatures in opponents yard (hey Gurmag) and way to go wide in one card (Diregraf Horde). I don't need this all the time and wouldn't want to flood on either so they're each 2 ofs.
