Deck discussion for Pinoy Cyclops

Hidden Strings can give some explosive power for the Cyclops especially if you can give him double strike with the boros charm.

I guess, but the cipher only triggers after damage, so it doesn't really do that much, i find. Other than giving it "vigilance".

I built a deck fairly similar to this in draft, but RUG. I would suggest some Fluxchargers, they're kind of amazing!

I also built the RUG version where it tops 7th in PTQ Theros Japan that uses split card flesh//blood but i found it weaker and inconsistent than the izzet version of this deck

If you can give something Cyphered with hte Hidden strings double stike the Hidden strings will trigger twice. Consider this. Artfull dodge on the cyclops and Hidden strings untapping lands for the boros charm. Swing with the cyclops. First stike damage for 10 cypher triggers on the cyc normal damage of 13. Thats 23 damage in one swing and you would have 2 lands open for another spell (maybe a fling). All this is possible on T4.

but there are two damage steps whenever you have a first striker or doublestriker. Also you can cast spells between the two damage steps.

oh yeah doublestrike! first damage from First Strike then cipher triggers then the second normal damage then cipher triggers again. but its overkill already lol unless you dont have the other spells to combo with cyclops. I'll try testing this later but instead of delver i'll put in judge familiar for one drop or better nivmagus elemental hehe

love the Nivmagus. Also there is a T2 kill with the blistercoil weird. Requires a total god hand and some slightly different cards but totaly legit. T1: Island, Blistercoil T2: Mountain Hidden strings (untap lands Blistercoil 2/2) Armed (Blistercoil 4/4 Doublestrike) attack, First strike deals 4 hiddenstring triggers (blistercoil 5/5) cast uncanny speed (blistercoil 9/6) normal damage deal 9, trigger hidden strings (blistercoil 10/7) fling!

Oh for sure. Not something i would build a competative deck around. Just throwing it out there. =)

i tested the izzet version of this deck in the last WMCQ here in our country and i scored 4-5. My losses were to american control and some midrange decks but all my wins were against aggro. So far this version has more potential than the izzet version as I can gain life here from azoriius charm as well. I tried hidden strings but lacks consistency in this deck.

i tested those once but they're a bit costly and easy to burn when you activate their ability. this is the deck i brought in wmcq but without the white spells/lands and instead global burn sweepers.
