Deck Description

My golgari deck. Kind of revolving around putting +1/+1 counters on everything with help of varolz or the whip.

Deck discussion for Golgari Hydra's

I would try to find a way to get some mana ramping going on in this, Elvish Mystic, Sylvan Cyranids for example. If you dropped the Adephage, the Nemesis' for 4 Elvish Mystics, it should help get you going more sooner.

Oh, and maybe think of putting in a Hexproof or two. A big way of dealing with counters is to just bounce the one creature with them on, ruins it all.

Yeah, I thought mana would be an issue. I like the idea of using the whip for the adephage to proc the evolve, but I suppose mana is more important. I think just to try at my next fnm, I'll take out one of each and add my 2 cyranids. If it doesn't work I'll take the rest of your suggestion. Thank you.

Love the deck, seems like it could get pretty insane. I'm just not so sure about Jarad though. Also, i feel that drown in filth only works in the case indestructible creatures. I feel that i would rather sidebourd them for something like Putrify.

Jarad is for a fling type deal. I'm not all that sure about it either but still, gonna be trying it out. You're right about Drown in Filth, in case I have to deal with the god cards. Or even with simple creature removal. But yes it can get insane. In a perfect world, check this out
t1: experiment one
t2: gyre sage. eo evolves.
t3: renegade krasis. eo and gs evolves.
t4: corpsejack menace. evolve eo and gs first, then krasis to put 2 extra tokens on the first 2.
So by t4, eo is a 7/7, gs is a 6/7, rk is a 5/4
