Interesting, mine so far is mono green and I was considering making it a GW deck, but I still have to get some cards myself that are GW and are in the spore theme.

Very nice deck! You inspired me to finish my own Spore deck i started a while back. I definitely like your take on it :)
Thanks Puschkin for the in dept advice, it is good. And that's interesting Gothy, I didn't know that the LGS would do such a thing, but thanks for the heads up!
Thank you guys, you both make a fair point. I will propose to them examples of play-style/creatures/colors and ask them which one they prefer. Alrighty, time to get building!
I am not planning on introducing them to combo decks and tri-color decks just yet. Is this a bad idea?
Hey guys I am assembling a group of 7 potential magic playing friends of mine at school and was wondering if you guys have any Ideas for noob friendly deck formats that aren't too weak. I am trying to make some ideas but I can't think of more than four types of decks. I am currently suggesting guild themed decks and mechanic themed decks; for example, Izzet guild or a defender deck.
Hey guys, sorry for the absence. School is rampantly consuming my time, but I have been following up on the posts here. I definitely can agree with Granflux that both of your perspectives make sense and have value. I am fairly confident that we can attempt to reach out to other members of the forum in a way that will be efficient and have minimal issues. I mean, if we can organize some pretty tight decks, can't we do the same with a general forum such as the one being discussed? However, I say that this is your guys' call
Thanks, I am glad that my suggestions have some value in them :P
Edit: Noticed how the discard ability may help you, Especially since you can bring them back with victimize. Discarding creatures doesn't count as sacrificing them does it?I guess you can discard the above suggestions. Sorry, I just missed that detail the first time around
Pretty cool deck! I always found black sacrifice to be a really flavorful type of deck, although i never played one myself. Initially I was curious as to how the deck would safeguard itself if you had the Abyssal persecutor out while you have your opponent ready to die, but you will die too if you would remove the persecutor demon. I noticed though that you have some countermeasures to things like this, such as the lightning greaves and the lifegain perks behind some of your sacrificial abilities. This is very good.As for the Putrid Imp, I don't particularly see his merit besides his ability to chump block and be fodder. I mean yeah he can gain flying, but I wouldn't think that you want to discard a card from your hand. He can also be a 2/2 if you are not planning to do chump blocking, but all in all I have some suggestions, hope they do you good.-Blood Pet: mana pump/ fodder-Sleeper Agent: give an annoying creature to your opponents that will gradually kill them and may force them to spend removal on their own side of the board.-Pharika's Chosen: I always find that death touch tends to deter some fatty attacks, so blocking with this is pretty fine, although it doesn't have the flying option of the Imp. Again can serve as fodder-Shadow Alley Denizen: Fodder/Intimidate can be given to yo fatty's if you have any out.-Vebulid: A self fattening fodder that can make good use of Xathrid Demon's ability or RoC if you have little else to use it on. Can serve as a one time chump blocker or attacker (As most chump blockers are one timers b/c they are usually crushed :P)All in all, nice one :)
Nice deck dude
^^<<<<<<^^^
lol somehow I gave this deck 2 likes xD
Huh, I think I see now. So you emphasized the Throne of geth aspect of things, and with it the artifact play has been augmented, interesting
Update: I just realized that proliferate only puts one more of the kinds of counters already present, so I decided thrummingbird isn't worth it. Instead I added two more Plague Stingers. Also am wondering If I should remove the proliferate artifacts and replace them with card drawing or scrying.
Hello! I awlays thought infect was a cool thing to play with, and I like your take on it! Since it looks like you know what you are doing, I was wondering if you could check out my own infect deck and tell me what you think of it? The link is < http://www.mtgvault.com/amberoth/decks/unscrupulous-demise/ > if you are interested. Again, nice job!
Alrighty, so do you guys think that this deck is ready for a proxy? I feel like its ready to go, but then again, I always may be overlooking something
Thank you Puschkin for reviewing this deck, your suggestions were superb! (I particularly liked the Unstable mutation addition)Gothy, I remember that card! The first deck I tried to build in here (I deleted it a while ago) was a B/G infect with Glistener elf as its centerpiece. I was still very noobish back then so I couldn't put it together properly. For All I know I may try to make that G/U infect deck type you mentioned, but for now I am satisfied with this. It's an interesing idea though, I never really considered G/U infect to begin with
Huh, I've considered B/G, B/U, but for some reason, I never considered G/U. I can check it out and perhaps build an alternative infect type deck later. Do you have any examples of a G/U infect deck that I can reffer to out of curiosity?
Alright guys thanks for the Input, it is valuable and makes sense. I will go remove mind sculpt from my B/U deck now and add some other controll, maybe more duress
