Deck discussion for Elf Rock

It's hard to argue with a deck that's winning. You have a very low average casting cost, but you have multiple lands that come into play tapped, slowing your progression. Also, you have 10 of 40 spells that are black and almost all of your mana seems focused on getting the one black mana you need for any given black spell.

I'd put in 6 Forests and 2 Swamps, drop the Vivid lands, the Fertile Ground, Nettle Sentinel and Loxodon Warhammer and one Garruk Wildspeaker.

two Garruks and Warhammers are simply amazing in elves but getting the deck down to 60 cards is definately a good first step.
I'd cut the...
2 x Gleeful Sabotage (Sideboard Material)
3 x Nettle Sentinel (this is more aggro less rock)
3 x Thornweald Archer (Your already running Better two drops)
2 x Premature Burial (What will this kill that terror and soul reap wont)
The I'd add another Vanquisher and consider making more cuts for a couple boreal druids

Personally, I would trim out the Thronweld Archers completely and increase Talara's Batallion, Wren's Run Vanquisher, and Imperious Perfect to four each. As for Gleeful Sabotage and Soul Reap, they are definitely sideboard material. As far as land is concerned, remove the Vivid lands and toss in what govtgeek advised.

i win at a 10 person FNM thats is why and not everyone is played strong metagame decks

I wil...
cut the archers (3)
cut the Gleeful Sagotage to board (2) I put in for a platinum angel persist deck
cut needle sentinel (3)
cut vivids for 5 forets 3 swamp

Replace premature burial (2) with 1 terror 1 soul reap

I like ure twist to this fast paced design. If u could get some Mutavaults, this would be an amazing deck... but then again, u might change things too much and it'll lose ure heavy hitter flavor. Comment on my Beast deck, I don't think I can make it any better, but I rarely lose with it. I wonder if it'll hold against ure Elf.

i only got 1 mutavault and i would like to maybe test against your deck

Should be a fun match. U would eliminate my green creatures and most likely swarm me... or I would wipe out ure army and play an annoying spiritmonger. I would love to see the outcome.

Ahhh... I forgot about the standard difference. However, I still think I would stand a chance at winning even if u added a great card like Eladamri, lord of leaves.

if u look at the list of my decks at the tournement i go to i want to know some good side board cards i dont have in there to kill the other decks ( most of em have a large amount of the sideboard cards for a mach up against my deck)

i have trouble with the evershrike b/w deck but i usually win and have trouble with the suspend deck and the persist platinum angel deck if i dont win early enough

otherwise my matchups are good

I would lose the Deathmark. Maybe state in ure info that the sideboard has another terror and soul reap. Those have more colors to play against. I would also change the archer to another extirpate and a couple thoughtseize. That would deal with ure blue. The extirpate are especially great against blue.

The Elvish Harbinger aren't that great. If they've done well in play, then keep them, but they tell ure opponent ure gonna play colossus or battalion. I would change them for another perfect and another vanquisher. Pretty good draw percentage that way for everything in ure deck. But if they've been cluch, and ure revealed card hasn't been countered or discarded constantly, than def keep them.

well i love your deck idea but i noticed, not one of your opponents is playing , red deck wins, quick and toasty, or faeires. these are some of the best decks in the current metagame.

You have a very strong build here, definitely. If you are looking to change it up at all, though, I think you might make it even stronger by diversifying your creatures just slightly. If you're open to having a few more non-elves in the mix, I'd swap out a colossus and a fertile ground for a couple of dusk urchins. 3 fertile ground feels a little excessive in a 2 color deck, and even if the colossus is a bigger ass kicker, you'll still have 3 to stomp around with, with the urchin out front.

i am only playing 3 collosus i would be willing to play non elves put i play tested with dusk urchins and he just felt out of place

fertile ground is unnecessary. Instead add a forest, one more colossus, and wren's run vanquisher.

well i dont pay much attention to what cards are standard and what not but its a red enchantment that turns all non-basic lands into mountains and i didnt say ur decks were bad i would like to see how my decks would do against urs cause not all my decks are slow the fastest deck i own is the goblin/elves and even that can have its moments
