nice. pretty awesome mono black control. im thinking maybe switch nantuko shade for some liliana of the veil.iv always had mixed feeling about unmask. its definitely a good card when played at the right time. im just not sure the card disadvantage is worth it. id rather play liliana and use these 2 slots for something better.

vedalken archmage is pretty slick. ive seen decks drop 10-15+ cards in a single turn easy with an archmage on the field.another very interesting way to go with modern affinity is the erayo-ethersworn canonist lock. my personal favorite take on affinity. it plays ethersworn maindeck, as well as erayo, soratami ascendant. providing both wicked fast beatdowns, and lockouts in one deck. something to think about at least
a player named Stanislav Cifka went 14-0 at pro tour rtr with a very similar list
i wouldnt take out mind funeral for mindgrind. rather, i would take out brainfreeze for mindgrind. i get that you can do it on their turn. but its still not very efficient. im not really a fan of scepter in mill decks in general, but you might be better off just slapping twincast on the scepter.
your gonna want something to make smokestack usefull. right now you have 14 non permanents and no recurring permanents. 2 big no nos for stax.you should consider something like nether spirit, bloodghast, crucible of worlds, sorin, lord of innistrad. something to make tokens, or bring back whatever permanent you sacrifice to smokestack. some stax decks get away with running almost no recursion by playing a deck of entirely permanents. that way, no matter what you draw, you can play it to the field that turn and always have something to sacrifice.just something to think about. >:Dheres my legacy stax list if your interested http://www.mtgvault.com/alleywayjack/decks/legacy-orb-stax/
strip mine is banned in legacy. you should play wasteland. you also NEEEED fetchlands. you can get away with the painlands, but you need fetches to make brainstrom/ponder insane. temporal mastery isnt very good. i would play some stoneforge mystic instead. your playing 4 swords, but they're all the same sword. by playing stoneforge mystic you can diversify your equipment and be able to grab the one you need. SFM also makes batterskull crazy, i recommend dropping a sword for it.4 snapcaster is allot. i would probably only play 2 or 3. which will give you room to adjust your counterspells and add force of will. you should have 3-4 Fow and then you can still run another 2-3 counterspell of choice. i prefer spell pierce or spell snare because they only cost 1
not to bad. looks like it has some potential! necropotence is a very broken card. if you play it with ivory tower, and spell book, or reliquary tower some very crazy things can happen. having 20+ cards in your hand, in a mono black deck feels pretty awesome. im not really feeling unmask, vampire nighthawk, and helldozer here. im not saying they're bad cards, i just feel like those slots could be utilized better by pushing necropotence to its fullest potential.playing creatureless also gives you access to the most baddass removal spells in black. innocent blood, and wretched banquet.
not too shabby. its too bad you cant put glimpse the unthinkable on isochron scepter! that would be nuts >:Dim not really feeling brainfreeze in here though. theres probably not gonna be a point where you have more than 3 storm. i would try mindgrind, the new mill card from gatecrash. its like a smaller mind mind funeral, or potentially a larger mind funeral.there arent many options for instant speed mill that can fit on the scepter though unfortunatly
cool idea. this deck has potential to be pretty sweet. however, i think this strategy in modern severely suffers from the lack of fast artifact mana, and the lack of 2 mana lands.
yeah. its kind of hard to explain, but after you have drawn your entire library( which happens by looping your eggs with second sunrise/ faith's reward) you can sac off 2 lotus blooms. play and sac a pyrite spellbomb. sac your conjurers bauble to put second sunrise/ faiths reward back into your hand( because you have nothing in your library it goes to the top of the library then into your hand. you then play second sunrise/ faiths reward and get back 2 lotus bloom, pyrite spellbomb, and conjurers bauble. do that 9 more times and win. ^_^
not too shabby. i really like this. i think you should keep your sideboard how it is though. maybe squeezing an enlightened tutor, or even 2 into the side could help push the 1 of artifact/enchantments in the side.the maindeck looks good. im not really feeling the misdirection though. running virtually 5 Fow is alot of card disadvantage/ again i would try maybe another tutor to find your lock pieces
looks great. dont think i would change a thing. you have some nice builds. i wish i saw more killer legacy decks on the vault! ^_^
^ clueless
nice. this actually looks pretty decent. ive always been a fan of jace beleran. that guy can generate some pretty great card advantage >:D
this is what iv been playing lately. you might be interested in checking it outhttp://www.mtgvault.com/alleywayjack/decks/legacy-storm/
not too bad! throw in a few lands and your good to go. if you could, i would try to squeeze the 4th infernal tutor into the maindeck though. you could run a grim tutor in the side if you wanted to keep a tutor in the side for chaining or whatever, but i find just running 1 burning wish in the side is fine.i havent seen any storm decks running chain of vapor main, but it stops the hate so i see why your using it.i like that your running rite of flame, dark ritual, cabal ritual, and still managed to squeeze in 12 cantrips.cool deck though. storm is definitely my favorite type of deck to play. >:D
ah, i see. very slick! ^_^
pretty decent, and cheap storm deck. you should play preordain or ponder over opt though!
if you are going to post such ignorant comments, you should READ how the deck works first.
