Deck Description

35-50 bucks, deck and sideboard; not too shabby... Demonic Moneyball.

How to Play

Mask of Avacyn buffs and guards Crypt Ghast effectively.
Dark Impostor should be next in Equip priority.

Some nice control with Murders and the Reaper; even Mikaeus has
a fun kill ability! Desecration Demons offer opponents the chance
to pop their own creatures. Dark Impostor is great at Murdering
Indestructibles. The Sideboard is an arsenal of blow-up flavors.

Mikaeus more than neutralizes Heartless.

Heartless turns Bloodgift into Phyrexian Arena (with ping option.)

Heartless Summoning & Crypt Ghast = wholesale beatsticks!
Just one of these can dramatically accelerate your game.
I picture a flock of Demons on meathooks...

If you draw a Heartless by 2, a Ghast by 3, and a Revelation by 4, you
can pull Griselbrand and Mikaeus [Extort 1] and cast them both on turn 5!
(Also presuming a clean run of five Swamps... Johnny loves it.)

Deck discussion for Murderball

id throw dark ritual in there, I have a black deck running similarly and I get crypt ghast out turn 2 quite often. which allows me to drop phyrexian obliterator or desecration demon next turn, and every turn after that. pretty useful :p

I think he is going for standard. He can't use dark ritual.

I'm guessing he is trying to keep it standard which would be a bad idea to add in Dark Ritual. It is a great card but is not standard. I'm not too fond of Heartless summoning decks but it can work out well for others if that's their play style. If you have a chance please check out and comment on my new decks:

ahh yes probably. I tend to not look at legality if I don't see any outlandish cards in the deck lol

This is the Legacy version of the same philosophy, which is the spirit of Black: Speed, Control, Burn!!!

(...and gambling on the opening hand [Yu-Gi-Oh!!!])

I think you need more early game. It seems like this whole deck realises on crypt Ghast a lot which is fine but the game will be very hard to stay in this you pull him. I just see you pull a hand of big creatures that you cant play till mid game in every hand. I suggest making a extort deck with this big beat stick idea in it. That way you have pressure till you get out your big dudes. :)

I do gamble on Heartless and Ghast in the hand... What do ye think; some Nighthawks or Phylactery Lichs? Or something cheaper? Dark Imposter is nice for 3, 1 w/ Heartless, and has a brutal, if pricey, ability.

Maybe I think it all could work. If you can play on the first your turn then your good
