Deck discussion for Mana ramp storm

Glimpse is banned in modern.
I think it was part of skullclamp combo once.

Fists of flame will be nice with mass hysteria.

Ok, but it works well with beck, so I can't really complain

Noxious revival let's you reuse beck

There's probably a lot more ways, sometimes we discover them. Sometimes we don't.

Well I spent about 3 days looking, also I think it's important to add that this deck doesn't need cryptolith

What search engine do you use?
I currently use scryfall.
In that place I just need to figure out out key phrases that might be usefull to the deck, and regulating the castingcost helps too.

Then I scroll down and write interesting names, and when I'm done with key phrases I either get some idea of new phrases or I write in all cards in mtgvault for a closer study.

Depends on the deck I'm making this one I used a mix of scryfall and the official mtg one

I used to have notes on designs dating back to the 2005 and forward. Threw it all out because I was so close to lose my home.

I think this could stand against most mill as long as you use noxious revival wisely.
You must respond to the graveyard hatred like surgical extraction by saving the card they target to make the extraction fizzle. Against other gravehate save what most likely starts the combo. Again some arti-hate and 2 surgical will get you far. You need something against leyline of the void.

This doesn’t need anything against leyline of the void, because it has 1 card that uses the graveyard, and it’s not really vital to the deck

Against mill it does. Mill excell at taking out combo.
You can try with the 1, 2, 3 test.
Turn 1 mill casts a tome scour, mill for 5.
Turn 2 mill casts a glimpse the unthinkable, mill for 10.
Turn 3 mill casts a tome scour and a glimpse or mind funeral, mill for what you think you can take.

That's about thirty cards removed, plus your hand and draw which means you got 20 left in your library.

Think your wincon will survive that ?

My wincon is self mill, or if lab gets exiled with extirpate, and I still think so even if you did

interesting deck. although I am not sure crashing drawbridge is good enough here. I know you need haste, but it doesn't have haste itself, and only gives haste to a single clump of creatures at a time. if you had a way to untap your creatures... like say... intruder alarm perhaps? always have the ability to give haste, always have more mana to ensure you could cast whichever cards you drew with beast whisperer or Beck // Call.

I do like the use of Kinnan here. Sweet card.

The thing is it can give another version of itself haste, but I have used other cards before and this one works best, and thanks for the compliment

Heh, if you add intruder alarm then you get infinite mana.
That means stream of thought would fit the deck ;)

And some ancient tech against snoopgoblins.
Leyline of singularity. Simple as that, and it often slows down aggro.
I use it whenever token decks are in abundance, and started using it back when splintertwin was a thing.

Alfred, yeah... I mean. I get that. I know how that works. Crashing Drawbridge gives you a chance to give a chunk of creatures haste, but what happens if you don't hit another Crashing Drawbridge before you run out of hasty mana? Intruder Alarm would ensure you never run into that issue.

Or, there are other options for giving your creatures haste. I figure there are at least half a dozen other good options that either give haste or pseudo haste to all of your creatures.
You could go with another creature, like Hellraiser Goblin or Urabrask the Hidden, or an artifact like Thousand-Year Elixir or Lightning Greaves, or an enchantment like Fervor or my personal choice Rhythm of the Wild, which keeps you safe from control while you are chewing through your deck. Just to name a few.

All of which, including just keeping Crashing Drawbridge, are complimented by Intruder Alarm.

The only cards I haven’t tried there are intruder alarm, and hellraiser goblin, so I will try those

Intruder alarm is a crazy broken card in the right deck, and it could really do some work here I think.

It does indeed have red. It is Naya colors.
It is a powerful casual deck, legal in legacy and vintage but I don't think it is nearly good enough to compete in those formats. But can be tweaked for modern by swapping out just a couple cards. Although I would love to see shield sphere be printed in a modern legal set, I doubt it will happen.
