Deck discussion for Aggressive aggro

How come you almost always default to 20 lands ?

In this deck you obviously put money on emrakul, so you must set your mana to play the planeswalker asap.
From games where I studied how much mana was necessary to hardcast archive trap I know that 25 lands is optimal, but 24 lands also useable.

Tormenting voice and cathartic reunion will allow you to adjust whether or not it pays to go with a fast weenie strategy or the planeswalker approach. By discarding lands or collecting them.

20 lands didn't come from nowhere, it's great for a deck that has storm/aggro strategy with a expensive combo backup, but I put about 13-17 lands in aggro and 8-15 in storm decks and 20-23 in combo/midrange decks

This isn't storm :)
I'm currently testing through boogles, and I've forgotten how much I've used engineered explosives in the past mill designs. I did expect to use cards like tribute to hunger and devour flesh to deal with big creatures. I had also forgotten that bogles used to play 4 leyline of sanctity, which meant battles had to be won by going aggro with fulminator mage and chancellor of the Spires. It's certainly not fast games.

No, bogles is an active deck that my mill fights with cards like devour flesh and engineered explosives.
I test against it. Back 2 years ago bogles had 4 leyline of sanctity which totally stops my mill tech. It's one of the reasons for playing chancellor of the Spires.

Yeah, I might always be right (at least once each day, as the astrologer said)
But I might be hard to interpret;)

You are as right as you can be while still being wrong most of the time

You jest, tease!

About 2 weeks ago I was asked how I would improve a boros burn.
I suggested the person moved kor firewalker to the main board to fight the buildup in red decks, then as a sidenote I argued that he should get auriok champion because of the rise in rakdos is evident.

This week white weenie surfaces with 3 auriok champion in the sideboard.
If only they'd put it main, because rakdos Is most played in modern now.

Once white weenie starts putting auriok champion in main, burn will turn back to boros to be able to take out auriok.
This means boros players can get an edge by still packing auriok champion themselves if they also keep kor firewalker nearby.

Let's see what happens the next 14 days.
