This deck needs to get 1 card from the sideboard at most, other decks the sideboard is great versatility, so it makes sense that are more.

For this deck you would just say elves, and you get to choose either to gain life equal to the number of elves yo control, or the opponent loses that much life, I say that it's better, because although it's 1 more mana it'll save you against burn better.
