Deck Description

Mil, sac, and discard all day.

Deck i just put together to test out during FNM. Lemme know what ya think peoples. Could realy use some pointers on making this deck and SB more efficient.

Here's the gist of it all:

The deck plays more defensive than offensive. Using creatures like Belltower and Assassin to dissuade anyone from attacking. The zombie tokens are just meat-shields, and are extra useful if Falkenrath is out.

Distress and Despise help to keep opponents hand empty, so i can worry a little less. Sac cards help to keep their side of the battlefield empty, buying me more time to mil or attack with wtv i may have out.

***(Anyone know of any cards that are standard legal that allow you to shuffle your gy into your library from anywhere?)***

Deck discussion for Jace...nuff said.

There is no need for the Diregraf captain. As for shuffling your graveyard back you could use elixir of immortality.

Yea. I only put diregraf in there because of the zombies that cellar door may spit out while it mils and for his low cost of 2/2 deathtouch. Still not worth it you think?

Oh, and elixir's not a bad call, but I was hoping for something that would allow you to shuffle your GY into your library no matter how the spell is destroyed. Kinda like Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre. I've not noticed anything within standard that does this. Thanks for the helpful advice.

When I first started playing I went up against a deck like this in my first friday night magic. The dude rocked me. Only it was a much better version of this deck. At any rate, I won't for get those guys at that comic book store thought me alot about the game. They are some of the best players I've come across.

I really haven't seen many decks focused on mil until recently. I've only been to 6 or 7 FNM events and figured mil was shunned in an unspoken rule kind of way. But the last two i've been too had mil decks, so i figured i give it go too. They definitely are tough to beat when put together right. Unfortunately, i don't have all the "right' cards so i have to make due till i can trade up or afford them later. Any suggestions on what i should keep an eye out for to include into the deck later and make it stronger?
