The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

White/Blue combo for life, control and some end game hard hits. Should be Legacy legal and with one or two tweaks Modern. Thoughts on making it Standard would help.

Deck discussion for Gideon's Angelic Revenge

This deck is fun, does what I want it to and appears to be quite versatile. However, I've only been able to test it against 6 or less deck types so I remain curious about what you guys think. Constructive input welcome!

How quickly does it take off? The mana curve makes it look like it would take off quickly but I'd be a little concerned about getting some creatures on the field. With only 12 of the cards being creature cards I'd definitely be a little nervous going up against some fast aggro decks.

Versatility is usually a good thing though because it's good to have contingency plans. I'd work on building up a sideboard to hone in on specific tactics based on what you're up against to speed up the process while not compromising the entire build of the deck. Swapping out some of the larger and costlier angels for some control wizards (generally at a lower mana cost) may be beneficial against faster aggro decks and maintains some synergy with your Avengers and Jura. Possibly throwing in some Sleeps or Turnabouts could help ramp up the Avengers even faster.

Realistically I just really like the idea of controlling the field while yielding large creatures, so that's the direction I'd try to run towards consistently. Throw in a few Pemmin's Auras to give your Avengers shroud, flying, or a P/T adjustment with your spare mana and I could see this becoming even more dangerous.

In recent tests it has developed very well and very quick. In one game the final score was 117 (me) to -60 something. It can handle a mill and ramp deck as well as a mono red and black.

This last iteration has fewer creatures for sure. I just didn't need them. With the Celestial Colonade as a just in case creature I'm doing just fine.

The control is heavy despite Blue spells reduced in number, and I will certainly look into you suggestions. Thanks for the feedback!
