***This was an unsanctioned draft. The deck lists were not registered before play, so deck adjustments were allowed between rounds.***The major flaw of this deck is the mana curve. I avoided all 1 drop creatures during the draft. All of them were completely useless. Vanilla 1/1's are the bane of my existence. Luck was not on my side in the 2-3 drop beat department (red/green)... so all of the power wound up hitting the 4-7 drop range. As shown below, this deck went 6-3 for the night. Match 1(Dustin) Black/White Lifelink: 0-2Match 2 (Riley) Black?/Blue? Unknown: 2-1Match 3(Daniel) Blue/Red Mill/Aggro: 2-0Match 4(Tyler) Red/Black Aggro: 2-0Match 1 was a major loss. I came nowhere near winning in either game. The deck was moving way too slow and I wasn't pulling any mana. After losing, I made the following changes: - Charging Rhino (2) - Forest (1) + Titanic Growth (1) - bringing me up to 2+ Mountain (2) - bringing me up to 17 landsI lost the first game in Match 2. I still wasn't drawing mana and I refused to put more than 17 in the deck. Also, I found Yisan, the Wanderer Bard is a horrible card in limited. He would be amazing in EDH, though... Another (quick) set of adjustments before the second and third games in Match 2:- Miner's Bane (1) - bringing me down to 1- Yisan, the Wanderer Bard (1)+ Rummaging Goblin+ Titanic GrowthAfter the adjustments, I won by a thread both games. I decided to roll with it and made no additional changes before starting Match 3.I barely won both games in Match 3. He had me down to 2 life the first game and down to 3 life in the second game. Tiny adjustment:- Rummaging Goblin+ Altac BloodseekerMatch 4 was much the same as Match 2 and 3. Won by a thread. I ended the first game with 2 life left. If my opponent had another turn - his next draw would have been a Lightning Strike.
My deck (over all) sucked. It was a one trick pony. I won all 6 games with 3 cards: - Hot Soup - Inferno Fist- Kird Chieftain Have the Kird Chieftain deliver the Hot Soup with his Inferno Fist.Repeat every turn.
