I usually play aggro every time I draft. When I drafted Gatecrash - Boros was unstoppable. Wojek Halberdiers as a common was almost illegal. I windmill slammed that card every time. No need to look at the rest of the cards. That card was sick.Where are my beloved 2 drop bombs in M15 and/or Conspiracy? I did an advanced search at http://magiccards.info/ with the following criteria:Power >= 3Converted Mana Cost = 2Type = CreatureEdition = M15 + Conspiracy Color = AnyThe only result:Oreskos Swiftclaw [M15]: 3/1 vanilla that costs {1}{W}You're killing my aggro, Wizards. I was kind of growing tired of playing 24 creatures and 16 lands anyway. We drafted [unsanctioned] Conspiracy last night at the local comic book mecca. I was not impressed at all with the creature selection. There was, however, a copious amount of removal spells... My original intention was to draft heavy blue with a splash of black. As the draft progressed, the blue cards were becoming more scarce and black removal was ripe for the picking. I was wanting the removal anyway, so I loaded up on them early on......and then...Swords to Plowshares. Mortify. Hello white.SIDE NOTE: Swords to Plowshares always returns my Mythic/Rare binder when I'm not using it (even though it's an uncommon). Thanks to Swords to Plowshares, I am now swinging three colors. Mortify was a beautiful bonus. I normally wouldn't attempt such a thing (three colors) while drafting, but I had two fancy lands and a blue dude that makes fancy lands.None of the Conspiracy cards were worth a damn. I also wasn't a fan of the voting cards. My impression of Conspiracy overall was "Not Scottish".By the last pack, it was sinking in that I had to focus on one color. When playing more than one color, I always have a dominate one and a splash of the other(s). Since I was already hording the black removal - I drafted every black creature I could on the last round of the draft. Before the last round of the draft, I seriously had 2-3 creatures that were in my chosen colors. After building the deck, I was pleased with the outcome. The mana curve was nice. The creature balance was nice. The deck was nice. I never looked at the side board during matches. The build was solid. The deck went 4-2 for the night:Match 1(Daniel) B/W/U Control: 2-0Match 2 (Brandon) R/G Aggro: 0-2Match 3(Zach) U/W Flying/Lifelink: 2-0Match 1 and 2 were against my own colors and played out pretty much the same in both cases. I horded all the removal during the draft, so I had the upper hand. I stuck to my strategy and eventually won. There was only one major flaw with my deck...My deck was slow.I was destroyed in Match 2 by all the aggro cards that didn't appeal to me. They were mostly red and the casting cost was too damn high. Every red card (in my opinion) should cost {2} or less. Lightning Bolts and Searing Spears have ruined me. I always use red as the supporting color. The thought of playing red primarily starts a series of "I'd rather..." comparisons. I tried it out with my last draft and I was left with a feeling of emptiness. Of all five colors - red is the step child that I pretend to like to make Aurelia happy.I should have played aggro.
