Hi, Learned to play Magic a few months ago but always knew about the game. This is the first deck I make, bought most of the cards and turned out pretty good, I used this page to create the deck and try the 7 hand draw NOW I TURN TO YOU FOR OPINIONS AND QUESTIONS About the deck: It basically takes griffins really fast abusing the cheap cost of "Griffin Rider" becoming a 4/4 with flying and "Tethered Griffin" a 2/3 also with flying but need an enchantment on play (thats why there are so many) "Magus of the moat" is a key card, he stops my opponent ground units (also can give him flying after with "Griffin Guide" so he can attack same goes to "Fledgling Griffin" if I didnt play a land "Reconnaissance" is a great card, had to read a LOT about it to understand the new ruling conflict but basically, lets me retreat a blocked creature if I dont like what blocked me or the instant opponent played while also untaping the card Even if I dont get blocked I can also use it AFTER damage has been done but we are still in combat and untap all my attacking cards (ends up giving a sort of vigilance ability) MY DOUBTS Is "Righteousness" really necessary? LOVE the card but dont use it that much and fights for a place with "Guardian Zendikon" a good wall that has a plus for being an enchantment (but I never find myself playing it and if I can wont save me of wants attacking) "Wind of Rath" love the card, not sure if 2 is necessary... "Reconnaissance + Infiltration Lens" This combo allows me to draw cards. even if they block me and I retreat with "Reconnaissance" I still draw 2 cards. What do you think? is it to situational the combo is it worth it the card slots? SIDE DECK Not really a side deck more like cards that I could put on the deck, some griffins I took out and some to expensive cards that I dont have and doubt I will buy. BUT NEED SOME BRAINSTORMING ON SOME OF THEM "Leyline Sanctity" is affordable and a great card specially on a starting hand BUT will it make a big difference having it? (great against black and red decks) "Soul sculptor" is a strange card but gives me enchantments and the possibility to immobilize an attacker I dont like or is giving me trouble, if for some reason he is having trouble taking out creatures is great BUT again is it worth the slot? "Replenish" great card probably worth the money... ------ Any other addition of cards is more than welcomed!

I appreciate it so much when people explain their decks in the description. It saves so much time figuring out combos. Personally, I don't feel you should need the Righteousness cards especially if your goal is to lock down your opponents ability to attack with magus of the moat. I would add 2 more of him to increase your odds. Maybe some Holy Days somewhere to buy you time in the early game. 2 more lands. And get rid of charmed griffin. His negative makes more issues that he is worth. You also may need some lategame. An enchantment to boost attack or the like may work well. Otherwise I like where you are goin with this. I have a weakness for theme decks and I cant say I have seen it done with griffins before this.

Well read a lot while making the deck and saw many cards, honestly didnt like other Griffins deck as much as mine but I think Magic re edited recently some old griffins so its more viable now. Good point on Righteousness its true I lock down their attack. And if they have a flying something I usually have more. True my late game doesnt get that strong, thats why I like Replenish, that should make it work Flickering Ward is excelent I can even pay 1 mana to retreat it in case its being destroyed Lastly for Holy day had it in mind but realised I Dont have problems in early game, they usually do. Been thinking of Brave the Elements to make the last killing blow that I sometimes miss on the 4 or 5 turn because my opponent has already some kind of efective delaying defense Thanx a lot for the comment!
