My take on the Brain in a Jar + Rise from the Tides combo. If you have any suggestions for the deck, I'd be happy to hear them. Thanks!
The win condition is Rise from the Tides making (generally) 15+ 2/2 zombies and attacking for the win. However, they come in tapped and on our turn so we have Brain in a Jar to help us cast it on our opponents turn giving us the turn to attack for what should be the win. Thing in the Ice is our Plan B to just outright kill them. Disperse/Compelling Deterrence is to bounce annoying planeswalkers. The rest of the deck is stall and draw tactics until we get our our win conditions. The Sideboard is our control package for the deck with less creatures in them.Preferably we'd like to...Turn 2: Anticipate, Nagging Thoughts, Thing in the IceTurn 3: Brain in the Jar (with activation open)Turns 4+: Stall until we get our combo.

Thanks, I was considering it at well. What do you think I should replace it with?
honestly dunno, havent played the deck so i dunno what is good and what is not
lol I decided to take out dispel. Thanks anyways.
It looks pretty good, and in spite of that, I suggest a look at my friend's Brain in a Jar deck. It may give you some ideas for a modern version. Here's a link: http://www.mtgvault.com/haloshark/decks/mill-in-a-jar/
Oh, god. This in modern...
Hey, this deck looks pretty good! I would definitely recommend adding a couple Engulf the Shore. Also, this is just my opinion, but if I only have 1 card with a separate color in the deck and it isn't absolutely crucial, I tend to take it out. That's how I see Languish. It's a great card, don't get me wrong, but you might have a better tempo and less potential for mana troubles if you dropped the Languish and changed your lands all to Islands. This would also enable you to put Engulf in the deck and make it super effective!Another possible addition could be Thing in the Ice. You are casting plenty of instants and sorceries, and it adds another board wipe effect with a massive blocker on the tail end. Again, these are just suggestions based on my own opinions. I don't mean to force anything.
Thanks. I have considered those and will be testing with swapping 2 Part the Waterveil for 2 Engulf the Shore. I have black moslty for the sideboard and Languish in there as a "better" sweeper for the decks like Mono-white Humans I've see often at my store (plus I bought the 8 dual lands just for this deck). Same thing for Ruinous Path for the Superfriends decks. I did have Thing in the Ice, but I decided to take it out for more of a challenge and for more zombies for Rise from the Tides. Sometimes they're in, sometimes not. Although, not sure what to remove for them.
Most decks don't take stuff out just for extra challenge. If you actually want to win, I would reconsider most of those choices, and listen to Haloshark. He is probably one of the best players I've ever met, and though sometimes misguided, he is mostly correct. A deck not built to win is generally not very good.
It does win, though. Like I said, Mono-white humans have been popular where I go so I prefer Languish so they don't get to recast their stuff.
