Grixis Midrange

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

They say that Grixis is dead. I'm trying to prove that it is the opposite. Since the release of Return to Ravnica, Grixis has been on a downhill stride and I think it's time for it to be back on top. Suggestions are accepted though I don't guarantee I might take it. You are welcome to try!

Deck discussion for Grixis Midrange

i like it but it seems a little slow anyway tho. umm well droping the bonfires/cyclonics for some spot removal and put the bonfires/cyclonics in your SB would work?
check out my echoing nightmare deck?

Can you please rewrite what you said about the Bonfire/Cyclonics? I'm having trouble getting the point

Move the bonfire's and cyclonic rifts to your sideboard rather than main board. and replace them with spot removal such as murder or ultimate price.

Side board bonfire of the damned and Cyclonic Rift is what he means.

As far as this deck goes, it has plenty of removal, and the creatures combo nicely. Yet something about it doesn't sit well with me.
Something about your choice of creatures, and the fist full of removal.

Anyway, you are missing draw power, which is to never be undervalued.

Not to mention, this isn't grixis, as much as it is Izzet, with black splashed in. Your land wants it to be Grixis, but you have THREE cards in it that are black. You have 12 sources of black that will hardly be used. It seems like a waist.

Nephalia drownyard needs to go, nothing in your deck works with mill. Replace it with some basic lands, or lands that can help your creatures do work.

That being said, I still have a leery feeling about how well this would actually run.

Any black suggestions?

I really like necropolis regent with invisible stalker, but it will never work right now. you won't ever get to cast regent because the odds of you getting 3 sources of black mana aren't very good at all, and if you do that means you weren't able to cast some of the other super mana specific stuff you have in here. that coupled with things like counterflux make it so you basically will always draw some things you can't cast until after you would've liked to. i like the idea of control grixis with runechanter's pike, and any further suggestions i offer will be to that end. if that's not what you're going for, this won't help you. i'd like to see some charms in there, probably izzet and dimir. it's sad that all the global wipes are kind of clustered around white right now, as that's what this deck really needs (blasphemous act?). if you don't run many creatures, killing wave could work, but i digress. for draw power niv mizzet is very cool, but i have my doubts you'll be able to cast him. you could maybe put bane alley broker in...? charmbreaker devils could be fun, as could guttersnipe. i would recommend more black, maybe in the form of top notch removal like devour flesh, ultimate price, stuff like that.

all in all, i want grixis to be a thing again, and i think that this deck has potential but needs some work.

Grixis is my world man, but wait until the next set releases. The top combination being run is Restoration Angel with Thragtusk being run in Bant control. I agree with what you said about the deck needing work, but it's only because there aren't many strong cards in the colors being made right now. Before Return to Ravnica was released Grixis used to be a top contender, then it just got killed by RtR.
