Deck discussion for Vampire Idol

Maybe it's because I'm a legacy player in a meta where B/U mill is popular, but I really don't like using stuff like Marsh Flats... Mind Funeral hurts a LOT when you thin through lands.

And the rest? I really don't see this working in THIS state, maybe with some tuning, but not right now...
I like Dark Tutelage, but I find it works best in B/W because then you can use Sun Titan and Tainted Sigil. Also, Jinxed Idol is fun, but the average standard deck I see is Eldrazi... So I can't give you my support there.
And then there's the fact that this is vampires, without Baron Sengir, or Sengir Nosferatu. They're what make vampires to me, and they pull their own weight(mana cost) by being awesome.

Yeah, I agree, theres no reason to play the fetch-lands unless you're playing two colors, which you aren't. And if you're playing dark tutelage, you should play crystal ball as well.

The purpose of the fetchlands is deck thinning.

Anyway, its vampires really only for synergy with kalastria and bloodghast, and you get decent lifelink dudes for cheap, to counteract the dark tutelage. I played this pre-rotation for a while, and while not super competitive, very fun. With kalastria and bloodghast on the board, it prevents them giving you the idol back, so you get a free shock every turn.

And, dark tutelage is for gas, as the decks mana curve tops out at 3. I've considered crystal ball, might cut the blade and deathmantle. They're fun, but not amazing.
