Deck Description

T2 Zombies. Dark Ascension has been a generous block. Play testing Havengul Lich over Sheoldred who held that slot in the previous version of this deck. Edited it. Trying to be more aggro. Trying to figure out what to cut to make the deck 60. Want to put Grave Titan back in. Figuring where to put him.

Deck discussion for Standard Zombie

Drop grave Titan and disciple for 4 cemetery reaper. Speed the deck along and have more pumps for hr dudes. I would drop rooftop storm for moan of the unhallowed or endless ranks of the dead. Probly ranks. It's that good.

Also ur curve is very high cuz of all ur big dudes. Try to knock four of em out for either 4 highborn ghoul or 4 walking corpse. The lower ur curve and faster u can take complete board advantage the better. Swarming is key

Yeah I know what you mean. I was worried this would be too slow. 6 bigger drops doesn't seem that bad though. Having playtested Endless Ranks, I feel like its just too slow. Like 5 or 6 turns later it starts doing amazing, but I wanted to test Rooftop Storm out. If the Lich is out it allows me to play any zombie from the graveyard for 1 mana. That'd allow for instant swarming. To increase the swarm I'll try removing the Disciples and 1 mana leak and ponder in favor of 4 Highborn Ghouls

U know if u have rooftop storm, grim grin, a disregard captain and a grave crawler out at any time u win instantly. Sac crawler to grim. They lose a life. Play him for free. Sac him to grim again. They lose a life. Just because he's already untapped doesn't mean that u can't keep saccing dudes to him. Lol. It's an infinite damage combo.

Removed the Rooftop Storm. 6 cmc is too steep. Also, considered putting Havengul Lich in here, but I've found that relying on him just slows the deck. Smaller quicker zombies seem to do the trick very nicely. Considering putting 2x Grave Titan Back in because...well because he's a beast. need to figure out what to remove

Decided to remove 4x Highborn in favor of more Spells and 2x Grave Titans. I don't have anything filling that two drop place but I don't feel like there's any really good 2 drop zombie. Will look around

I take it your sideboard isn't so much a "side board" as it is "cards I might want in main deck"? ^.^;;

Anyway. On the subject of 6cc guys... I agree, fast is better for your deck, but you might consider switching out a Grave Titan for Mikaeus, the Unhallowed? Actually, maybe even dropping a Messenger for a second one? It would make your guys more threatening and feed Grimgrin even more. :)

Otherwise, the main deck seems really solid. :D Your sideboard isn't much of a sideboard, ATM, but I assume you'll adjust that before actually playing this in a tournament. GJ!

I considered Mikeous but I don't know. I'll play test em. and yeah the sideboard is just there to keep me reminded of what could go in

Ignore my suggestion about dropping a Messenger. I played Zombies this past FNM (inspired by your deck) and the Messengers are BEASTS. O.o

Another suggestion from my experience... main deck a Black Sun Zenith or two. If your meta is anything like mine, you'll need them against the many, MANY token decks. >.<

If not, they should at least be in the sideboard.

Yeah I keep a couple Black Sun Zenith's handy. They save the day. But yeah...messenger is ridiculous. Basically 3 mana for 2 creatures and 4 damage. So OP lol. I'm glad I inspired something in someone lol. Did you run a deck like this one?

Consider adding rooftop storm in case you get the rooftop storm + grimgrin + gravecrawler combo out. Also Highborn Ghoul is crap, consider takeing him out for some doom blade or go for the throats.
