The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

I've redone my vamp deck. Please check my other one to compare and give me your feedback. thank you. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=137339 Oh, and just for laughs, I want to one day replace all my vamps with foil versions so i can say i have a twilight deck.

gotta love the way vampires work. Do you ever find yourself wanting more mana ramp to acivate some of their abilities more easily or without tapping out?

mabe dark ritual would help (or some kind of ritual) but its hard to take things out you know?
yea, too be honest i've never even gotten a chance to use kalitas's or drana's ability. and i sometimes screw myself over trying to level up guul. i have some dark rituals i could easily add to it if i were to play with just friends. but i'm trying to stick to t2 legal to have it tournament ready.
Ive always liked thran dynamo and the sol ring, youd be suprised how much easier things seem when you have the extra colorless mana by just tapping a couple artifacts. unless of course these aren't tourney legal... its still legal to use thran dynamo yes?
nope, thran dynamo isnt t2 legal.

i'll take that as a compliment. lol
Hey, this is a pretty nice vampire deck with several similarities to my own first attempts on building one. Let me give you some advice. Firstly, having just one of something is never, ever, a good idea. Etiher add more of the good ones and remove those that aren't as good, such as Vampire Lacerator, or put cards like Sign in Blood and Diabolic Tutor in to draw and fetch them. Sorin Markov. He only works well with vampires that have "10 life or less" effects. So either add more of those, and another Sorin, or remove both him and all of the "10 or less" vampires. Quag Sickness might not be the best choice as a doomblade or, in this case, Feast of Blood, so my advice is you remove your Quags and replace them with Feast of Blood. Also, both Captivating Vampire and Child of Night are a lot better than the puny Pulse Tracker, so you might want to remove two of those and add a Captivating and a Child. If you decide to remove Sorin and the ohers, try two put another Drana, another Kalitas and two Anowon, the Ruin Sage in it. If you don't care about it being standard or not, you should consider playing Dark Ritual in the deck too. If you want some inspiration, take a look at my Vampiredeck (the only deck I've added on this site, haha xD). http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=140133 Feel free to ask if you don't understand or feel like you need some more tips :)
In no way, is child of night better than pulse tracker. child of night is a horrible, HORRIBLE card. Pulse tracker will make your opponent lose 1 life without even getting an attack through. the attack alone will do it. and though captivating vampire is nice, whenever I drew him I found myself wishing he was something else. I'd say check my vamp. deck for reference, but my vamp. deck was the first deck I ever made, and it's crap. Lol, but I'm just too lazy to re-do it. (: also, kalitas is crap. for 7 mana, he's wayyy too expensive to do what he does. drana is the best vampire (in my opinion) currently in standard. anowan is good too, but the legendary aspects of both creatures limit them to a max. of 2 per deck.
yea, i've decided to take kalitas out and replace him with anowon. kalitas hardly ever saw the battlefield.
4 dark ritual, get the land that taps for the amount of creatures in your graveyard, 2 more gatekeeper of malakirs, take out blade of the bloodcheif and switch them for basilisk collar if you like equipment; put in 4 vampire nocturnus. remove guul draz assassin and put in sudden spoiling. then sideboard 4 exile 4 doomblade and 4 upcoming "go for the throat" from the new set; Kalitas, Bloodchief of Ghet if you have the money
did someone just say lacerator wasn't good , wow, he rocks vamps are supposed to be fast who cares about taking a hit in your upkeep you got a 2/2 out on turn one. vamps should get the opponent down below 10 fast, let me guess you don't like bloodghast either, black will always give up something to get something better, anyway not getting personal but lacerator rocks,
Haha, sorry if I upset you ^^' I've never thought about it that way so perhaps I was mistaken about the lacerator :p
hmm, i may add some bloodghast. it would seem pretty annoying for the other player. haha
You should remove a Ruthless Cullblade and a Pulse Tracker to put in two Guul Draz Vampires. You would benefit greatly from their special ability, especially with Sorin Markov on the field.
you should just give up on this deck and go slit your wrists!!!! lol jus jokin dude...this is chris
i would have never guessed....
