This is a deck that is meant to take full advantage of of Melira breaking the persist ability. This deck is built differently in the hopes of getting a little bit of originality, when someone makes a Melira deck they usually throw in Kitchen Finks and Murderous Redcap for unlimited life and unlimited damage, but decks like those get boring because they typically (I said typically) lack originality. So replace Kitchen Finks and Murderous Redcap with Bitter Ordeal and Safehold Elite, there is nothing more satisfying than exiling your opponents entire deck, yeah this combo as a whole contains one more card than it actually needs but I think the look on your opponents face is well worth it...If you couldn't tell I built this deck for revenge :D play nicely. If you're trying to build a deck like this but are worried about cost I tried to put in some low costing alternative cards into the sidedeck for comparison, unfortunately there aren't that many low costing replacements for shock lands so i did my best, basic lands still work great with Farseek. If you're not worried about cost I also put into the sidedeck some cards that speed up the pace of the deck like Murderous Redcap.
If you build the deck differently from how I did it's possible to win in three turns but this is my favorite strategy to use with this deck.Turn 1: overgrown tomb, then play Avacyn's PilgrimTurn 2: play a land, tap for two to play Nature's Lore, then tap for two to play Melira.Turn 3: play a land, tap for three to play Vescera Seer and Safehold Elite. Use Vescera Seer to sacrifice safehold elite and scry your library until you find a Bitter Ordeal (or a Flesh Allergy if Bitter Ordeal doesn't float your boat).Turn 4: Sacrifice Safehold elite 60 times, cast Bitter Ordeal, then laugh at your opponent. In the unlikely event that this combo will not work for some reason, this deck is also fitted with a backup plan.Use Vescera Seer to search your deck for the cards you need (assuming Melira and Safehold Elite are still in play). Use bounce lands to return shock lands back to your hand and use them to keep dealing damage to yourself, the Murmuring Bosks are also there for a steady stream of damage (plus they play nicely with Nature's Lore). Play a Phyrexian Unlife then get your life down to 0. When it's at 0 use Soul Conduit to swap your life with your opponents.
