This is so beautiful it brings a manly tear to my eye...

Once someone pointed out the card and I took a careful look at it, I saw that Thornbite Staff offered a little more utility than sharpshooter does, and at a cheaper price too. Sharpshooter was a nice addition though and he will be missed. The deck becoming modern legal after the change was just an added bonus
Because I don't have every single card in the world memorized...but thank you for telling me about this card, it is so metal, I love it, and I appreciate you taking the time to educate me :D
You can read the explanation for deathtouch in Gorgon Flail which is in the sideboard for this deck. It states that "Creatures dealt damage by this creature are destroyed". I'm assuming that the rule you're looking at is meant to apply specifically to combat damage forms of deathtouch.
Goblin arsonist isn't in the deck because it only deals damage when it dies. In order for this deck to work I need the creatures to be in play when they deal damage so that something like gorgon's head can give it deathtouch
Oops, I guess I misread it. Thought it only applied to opponents for some reason, my bad
I have fixed my error, Mr.Torque would be proud
thanks for the suggestion, it is mean :D
It took me a while to figure out exactly what the deck's strategy was but once it all clicked I was able to come up with just a few bits of advice...I recommend replacing the "Cancel"s with "Dissolve" or if you're dead set on an exile deck then I recommend "Dissipate", they both do the same thing as Cancel but with an added effect that is a nice addition to a counter spell. Guildgates are nice starting lands but unless they are going in a deck meant for Gates, there are always better lands like "Drowned Catacombs". You also don't have any spells that compliment your "Agent of Fates"' Heroic ability, if you can get a card that can target him every turn for even a small reason you're making him two times as deadly already, but it may be better to take him out altogether or to at least only keep 2 in your deck. The only other things I can think of are putting in some lower cost cards if all goes well for this deck the earliest you can play a creature is turn 3 which puts you at a disadvantage, a few lower costing cards will do you a great amount of good. Replacing two "Consuming Aberration" with something like "Nezumi Graverobber".My last piece of advice is that your land count is a little low, my personal recommendation is for this deck to be 60 cards with 22 lands.I hope this helps, and good luck.
I like the deck, however you are going to have to be able to protect your hydras, my friend uses primordial hydra and is always complaining about how it's never in play for longer than two turns because people go out of their way to destroy it, I recommend cards like Aspect of Mongoose or Privileged Position. Cool deck :)
