i like this deck
feeling of dread is one of my favorite cards ever!
i think 4 hero of bladehold might slow it down a little bit
i might go for some cheaper cmc controll cards just to smooth it out
though off the top of my head all i can think of is tumble magnet and ajanjis lawkeeper

help me with mine? i need to cut out cards, also if theres anything you can think of that would be good by all means

yah board swipes are absoloutly necessairy
also get an orims chant for that isochron scepter and a dawn charm

yah i dont really know how to prevent something like that with this kind of deck, though hopefully it wins turn 5 and thats only 1 tun after lots of decks can use their standard board wipe is available (ie wrath of god, damnation, day of judgement)

k i might/ will probly get called a noob for this but... how does this deck win?

also with the ravager you dont need the dark ritul to play disciple of the vault cuz ravager costs 0, though still the summons costs 2, still if its not turn 1 its turn 2 win

um arcbound ravager for a 0 costing infinite infinite creature since you can sacrifice the myr to the ravager before it dies from -1/-1 ?

lol mana crypt isnt in the vault database, i always symbolise it with a thieving magpie

hey surewhynot ive got a deck really similar to your heartless summons affinity deck but i use semblance anvil instead of heartless summons and 90% of every hand i draw i drop my entire hand out first turn and the idea is that i drop vedalken archmage first turn and then the entire deck

but i just cant seem to get it off

any suggestions?

also maybe vedalken archmage to play half your deck?
just need something to get your artifacts cost 0 like semblance anvil or oh wait heartless summoning waddya know!

maybe some steel overseers?
but otherwise nice deck

considering this is legacy theres no reason to have dispatch over swords to plowshares

UW decks are awesome
a commander that makes your spells cheaper and your opponents more expensive would be nice
ive been working on a highlander deck for a while but just cant get it to run smoothly
it is normal highlander though not edh
no generals and usually just 1 on 1
could you give me some tips?

this isnt an edh deck because nobody in my meta plays edh, its all just normal highlander, 100 card decks no duplicates and NO GENERALS, and their generally just 1 on 1 matches

i do kind of wish there would be some edh around here, if that were the case id deffinately go for glissa, the traitor

i only have all the islands because i havnt gotten around to putting in the actual lands but i wanted to draw some sample hands to see how well my creatures and spells curve out through turns

theres allot of really high mana cost cards in this deck and you dont have allot of mana accel, id go with planar void over leyline of the void if you wanted to keep the combo but honestly 4cmc is really high for a painter grindstone deck, you shouldnt be letting games go past turn 3

legacy legal your only allowed 1 copy of sensei's divining top
counterbalance is a nice idea though cuz your opponent will most likely be frantically trying to play a destruction spell on your painter or grindstone
other than that it is quite common to have lots of 0cmc artifacts like shield sphere, mox opal, and lotus pedal to get your combo off as fast as possible, if that were the case with your deck id suggest you switch trinket mage with transmute artifact
