I feel in any deck playing loam you should at least have 1-2 copies of ghost quarters to make the tron/uwr match up better

i honestly dont know much about modern i am going to most likely make this deck and start playing so any tips are welcomed
Basically if you're playing loam you use it to dredge cards into your GY. At the draw step on your turn instead of drawing you can choose to dredge a card that has dredge to return that card to your hand(which flips x cards into your GY)In this case "Life from the Loam" returns lands from your GY to your hand when you cast it.So you can use Ghost quarters or Tectonic Edge then use Load to to bring them back to your hand/repeat.While dredging your Graveyard will fill up with all the creatures you want it to, Loam also works amazing with "Raven's crime" but that doesn't fit your deck.
i play alot dredge in legacy but force of will just gets on my nerves way to much lol and i see what you mean now
check out my other deck Nissa, Worldwaker modern is the other deck i like a lot thati might make for modern im kinda stuck between these two
I prefer ghost over tect as ghost can stop a turn 3 karn vs tron. both are good its just like: ghost better vs tron tect better vs man lands. I will check it out after I am sorta at work atm:P
i like ghost more you don't have to wait till turn 4 i just want another card like Vengevine to come out lol
Yeah it really comes down to which is the worse match up for you. if tron is a breeze ghost is worse:p Maybe one of the wedges in the next block will be GY based? I feel with all the GY hate thats in modern they can easily print some sweet cards like it.
thats why i have Witchbane Orb and Leyline of Sanctity side bored to stop there gy hate, i hope tho once khans come out i should have a job hopefully im build a deck for all the clans plus the art of jeskai clan looks sick. yeah so if the do make a card like Vengevine it will be in this deck, kinda need a job six decks to make XD damn my hobby is to damn expensive
Witchbane Orb and Leyline of Sanctity are also for blood moon
they don't really stop grafdiggers cage:P but they do stop a couple cards at least. Yep haha, I got lucky and bought my modern deck 800$ 8-rack by trading in 650$ worth of cards lol. Modern ain't cheap. http://www.mtgvault.com/viagrasaurusrex/decks/776027/ this is one of the brews I'm working on, it uses haakon to cast inversion to wipe creatures and raven's crime to strip there hand. http://www.mtgvault.com/viagrasaurusrex/decks/dredge-not/ This is like the other deck but in more of an 8-rack shell using the rack to close out the game.
i like the http://www.mtgvault.com/viagrasaurusrex/decks/dredge-not/ one better seems more there with discard, id look at cards like Wrench Mind, and Geth's Grimoire.i also have Abrupt Decay to deal with grafdiggers cage. witch deck out the two do you think would be better in modern ?
Dredge not is the one I am leaning more to as you can tell by having a card choice description:PThe reason I don't Wrench Mind, and Geth's Grimoire is:I have no way to get wrench mind out of my GY where as I can cast raven's crime over and over or I can cast TS or IoK on turn 1 rather than turn 2.Geth's grimoire is just a little high on the mana cost, I feel Waste Not is just better as it comes down earlier and all of its abilities are basically drawing a card :PI feel Vengevine always depends on how much hate it has in the meta, with deathrite shamen banned I feel Dredgevine decks should be a bit better placed atm.Mono green ramp has always been a deck in modern with a few different builds. So i feel it really depends on what you want to play?
