I like this build. I know the Mystics and Dictates are in there to help find the combo, and at the same time get more of their cards out of the way, but would it be better to just use some card draw? Treasure cruise or Divination? Something that doesn't give your opponents cards too? And what kind of side board would this run? Probably 2 more Aegis of the Gods to protect vs the Eidelon... maybe some Wrath effect for super creature heavy builds? End Hostilities? Mass Calcify seems to expensive, even if it does spare the Guard... Aetherspouts is somewhat counter-productive....

any ideas?

Well, I like what you have to say, and thank you! I agree I could re-work draw engines, but I would stay away from Treasure Cruise. It is rather expensive, even with delve, and I need more agro draw power. I do like Taigam's Scheming in this deck. I think it is a very good top-deck tutor. I think End Hostilities would be nice as well. I will work on a sideboard, and if you have any suggestions, please post them!

Omenspeaker might be a good replacement for Sigiled Starfish. For the same mana cost you get Scry 2 as well a 1/3 instead of a 0/3. Only con to this is you only get use Omenspeakers ability once. May be a good card for the sideboard nonetheless.

This deck is awesome, especially considering it doesn't require much setup. One suggestion i would like to make: Gods willing (with the added benefit of scrying), or some other form of protection for your midnight guard, like feat of resistance.

stubborn denial and disdainful stroke wouldnt make bad sideboards. Stubborn denial, if their sinking all their mana into a counter or removal spell since it would happen so early in the game.

Run 4 Ensoul artifacts and 4 Darksteel Citadel. Add evolving wilds to double the mill on land drops.

This is awesome. Definitely gives me a couple ideas. I have been brainstorming a standard legal mill deck. Thank you for sharing!
