the idea is that you're gaining large amounts of card advantage with every spell played (card advantage relative to pauper obv). the best example being ravenous rats and chittering rats <-- such an underrated card. you play a creature, gaining board presence, while your opponent drops a card. super easy concept, but ridiculously effective
