Deck Description

An aggro/control deck which has the potential to dominate the board.
All 2 drops which can be brought back with Immortal Servitude.
The Aristocrat allows sac outlets for the Strangleroot Geists, the Voice and the High Priests ability. The lingering souls helps protect against flyers and provides chumps for the High Priest while pumping up the Voice tokens. Rancor allows the Ooze or the Voice tokens to become serious threats.
Use liberal amounts of creature kill to get your creatures through and pump up your Ooze.

High Priest of Penance, Fleecemane Lion and the Gift of Immortality will soon be finding their way into the deck.

How to Play

Turn one, drop in a tapped shock land if you can, which will allow you to play an untapped land 2nd turn. Try to get GG out for your Strangleroot Geist. Optimal turn 2 drops are Strangleroot, Scavenging Ooze or the Voice. If you're playing an aggro deck the strangleroot will allow you to drop a chump blocker, which may be able to take out one of their quick creatures. If you have a kill spell in hand the scavenging ooze is a great option for turn 2. You can drop it then on turn 3 kill and exile their creature to pump it up. If you have the chance to play aggressively, drop a strangleroot on turn 2, then throw a rancor on it turn 3 while dropping another 2 drop.

Save your Skirsdag High Priest until you have a few creatures out to make him useful. The Cartel Aristocrat is incredibly useful when you have a few creatures out, so try and wait to drop him as well. Feel free to sac your creatures if it means taking out your opponents. Use your kill spells liberally but try to save one for Hell Riders, Boros Reckoners or Thundermaw Hellkites, if you're playing Jund/Naya.

Once you've managed to clear most of their board feel free to immortal servitude your own creatures right back out and dominate the board.
